  3. Built 100% straight from the box . Its not perfect , But I like it A LOT And not bad for less than 2 weeks start to finish ( its great to be retired ) Tamiya Gloss Aluminum rattle can for the silver. Everything else is kit decals with 3 coats of 1K urethane clear to top if off Duplicolor satin black for the interior Duplicolor Chrysler green engine enamel for the engine Thanks all for following along the build in the WIP section. ps...I guess it wasn't done. Just added the class decals. And better picture of engine compartment

  5. I'll have to try the Duplicolor 1k clear next time I'll do a test with the lacquer clear on a few different paints , just for grins
  6. many Thanks, But Yes am south side of Tucson AZ . so yeah,,,Its quite dry here.,,,USUALLY The one on the left the silver is the only color painted. Everything else is kit decals . With about 3 coats of 1k urethane clear on top of it all The one on the right was done several years ago, And its ALL painted except the red roof / hood / decklid stripes But its been done so long I have no idea what I used for the Red sides of the upper body blue colors . Im pretty sure its a Enamel clear as its yellowed a touch compared to the other one. The 68 Charger is an original MPC annual painted up as a Landy car. That one I cheated and bought it done already many years ago My ultimate goal is replicate this magazine photo in scale
  7. Thanks, Its going to be a bit before I start this particular build. SO I have time to see if I can find an original hood. At least the resin version gives me an option
  8. Cool, Thanks for the confirmation I have a grill. Just need to find the hood
  9. Did the MPC 1971 GTX kit actually have the hood shown in the boxart ? If so, and anyone has one, Im interested I see Harts parts has the hood in resin. Anyone used it ? How is the quality ? But I would really prefer plastic if I can find one https://hartspartsresin.com/product/71-gtx-hood/
  10. Did the original issue MPC 1971 RR or GTX have the same air grabber hood as the more recent yellow issue If not, Anyone modified the monogram hood to fit the MPC body ? Monogram hood shown
  11. Pm sent
