  1. Almost correct. No cloth interior avail in a 300. BUT there was a leather interior avail. http://www.hamtramck-historical.com/dealerships/1966ChryslerColorAndTrim-03.shtml
  2. as far as i know....Yes.
  3. My replica build of my former car. A black - with black interior 1970 Road Runner 440 six barrel 4 spd car. I have a Johan builtup to do it with . Its just theres always something else catches my attention and it gets boxed back up. Someday I guess. When I do it, it will be as far from box stock I have ever gone .
  4. Sweet looking cars . Either factory stock or asa very mild custom. I have a pretty nice convertible version in the stash ps, wheels and tires are on there way
  5. NOW, we're talking. Love these body style 300's. ( I have a 68 in my very very short to do list ) Spanish Red with red ( or white ) interior would look pretty nice as well. The interiors on these cars have a slight pearl tint to them. And look amazing in person And I vote no on the vinyl top. I think it takes away from the lines of the car .
  6. very cool. I have one to do in the very near future Any build issues besides the decals I should be aware of ?
  7. I really like it. I think the color choices are dead on what one usually finds these in. And its definitely on par with your usual quality. BUT,,,, IMO, the wheels takes away from it. A set of the factory spinner hubcaps and whitewall tires would have been killer on it . and btw, we need to talk about these red heater hoses on a mopar. Thats a big NO NO in the 1/1 car world. ,,To add I agree with Harry in I think the 67 GTX is one of the best body desings Mopar ever did. To bad its under appreciated in the 1/1 car world compared to 68 and later
  8. I use the buffing MM rattle can stuff all the time, never had a problem. I usually can buf fit it an about an hour ( sometimes less ) Are you sure its the buffing type ? ,,there is a non buffing version ( never used it so cant comment about it )
  9. Ive been on both sides before...selling resto parts for old car hobby I think everyone should walk in a venders shoes for a year. It Will change your perspective i assure you.
  10. Be a pretty cool project. of a rather unusal subject,,,which means I'm in Got to say I'm not a fan of the way they did the headlight / front lower nose area. Still cool overall though
  11. Not sure but i dont think either one have a 440 i know the gtx vert has the correct hood Ps will have your parts in the mail tomorrow
  12. Thats exactly what I plan to do with the 1st 3 of them I get. ps, why does it sit up so high ?
  13. Untill I saw the hand in there, I would have bet money it was the real thing,,,,, And I'm still not convinced its a model
  14. They are screw in access plugs,,,,,, plugs were access points to get to the bolts that attach the intake on the engine. Hemi goes straight in from the top. Wedge motor goes in at at angle . ALL OEM intakes were one piece as shown ,,,, any two piece intakes were either modified( a popular thing to do back then ) or aftermarket Also, intakes 1964 and prior were aluminum. regardless of application 1965 and 1968 Intakes were Magnesium ( 1965 and later is HEMI only as there was no Wedge crossram produced ) Also, on a wedge motor. If your using an original Max wedge intake you MUST use the max wedge heads as well . A standard wedge intake port is to small
  15. Odd they would put a crossram in the kit the manifold was never avail in the 1/1 world ,,yet NOT put one in the cars they were avail in. But as an update. I dug thru my MPC 69 Barracuda box and found another intake like the 2 on top in the middle. Yet my sealed kit is a 383 and no crossram of any kind.
  16. I'm putting a list together now for parts and pieces I will need at some point,,, maybe even a kit or 2 . when they re-open I'll hit it hard Its not going to be pretty but I want to get them while I can
  17. Especially when you take into consideration the size of the pinion gear at the time in an 8-3/4 was I think a 1.5" max . Its my understanding they trashed more automatic transmissions than rear axles back then .
  18. gtx6970

    68 Dart

WOW, excellant job on the engine. Any particular livery on the car ?
  19. We think exactly alike. ,,,except I'm 56 . And I have no interest in scaleing down my stash because I know I'll never build them all. They're mine,,,all mine and mine alone. When the time comes I see my wife selling off the unbuilt common stuff. But I have serious doubts her or my 2 girls will let the built stuff go anywhere. ( both my girls love old cars ,,,and each want one of there own someday. )
  20. If I can pick one and only one. Moebius would do a 1960 or 1961 Chrysler 300 ( I know its 2 actually,,,,,but it truely doesnt matter which one to me )
  21. Yes, at least most of it. The entire drivetrain is from the parts box ,,,,,maybe 68 Roadrunner kit.? ( It needed it to be a 4 spd ) . Headers I think are Revell 68/69 Charger.
  22. Sweet, Now put the Hemi in the sedan kit with the tires shown on the MM car and I'll take a case right now . But, I do have a question. Was the Hemi exhaust tooled up using original OEM parts. Just curious they are near impossible to find in decent shape in the 1/1 world
  23. MPC parts is a good possibility. I have a bunch of the MPC 68/69 Barracudas around here in various stages of completion. Will ck an unbuilt one later today to ck .
  24. Mail man just dropped it off and I had to just open it up for a look inside. Near mint unbuilt 1960 Edsel convertible kit. Nothing touched or messed with . Only thing missing was the custom hubcaps. Which is not a problem,,,my intention from the get go was to build it A perfect new canvas to start from. This one gives me all 3 Edsel convertible kits. This one and my 59 are both unbuilt,,,,,,for now. My want list is getting smaller and smaller . I'm down to maybe a dozen kits I am after. I know my toy fund will be glad when the list is complete.
  25. hands down my favorite build on this board I'll trade you the builtup I have for it ,,,in case you want to do another one
