  1. Hobby Lobby carries it, and the replacement blades. I just picked up a new one at my local HL last weekend.
  2. Outstanding , especially the color . I built one of these as a kid ( many moons ago ) and I keep thinking I want to try one again as an adult.
  3. The blade on mine does NOT swivel . Will see if I can find picture This one http://www.ebay.com/itm/X-ACTO-Retractable-Blade-Knife-carded-/191809843412?hash=item2ca8c1f0d4:g:RNkAAOSwWTRWx5ha
  4. My wife has no qualms with my modeling or the stash . And as long as family wants/needs don't go unattended ....I can spend pretty much what I want,,when I want . She and my girls are the same way , be it shoes , clothes , purses or ???????? But I do have a conscience so I don't get stupid with what or how much I buy . I go thru phases where I work like crazy on models for a while, then I may not touch them for weeks or months .
  5. Thanks, The Bob Banning car was just built about 2 years ago. The Soapy Sales car has been done for the better part of 30 years ,,,maybe more. I need to find a partial decal sheet to redo the roof and trunk . The original MPC kit sheet doesn't have enough of to go all the way front to rear like the 1/1
  6. I've seen the remains of the Paul Stefanshys SuperStang car in person,,,very cool car . I'm going to just have to get my butt in gear and get some of the sheets while I can But gotta ask,,,,,, Any chance you could be talked into doing the decals for the Charlie Allen blue 68 Dart AA/FC I have a resin body to do the car and a chassis but no artwork ,, I already have his red / silver car done and the blue / silver one would make a nice pair on the shelf . There was also a 68 SS car with near identical artwork . maybe a 2 in 1 sheet ,,,pretty please ?? How about the 1968 Gene Snow car ?
  7. A few years back there was a 421 wagon at a high end show in Ault park in Cincinnati Ohio. I had heard the owner say it was the only one known to exist ,,If I remember right the car was white with blue interior with no race car markings of any kind . The car had a crowd around it every time I was there to get pics,,so I never took a single one all day . Big mistake as I didn't realize how unique this car was at the time.
  8. I kind of like the looks . Its different . I'd heard these kits were quite the effort to build . But it looks pretty good to me . Might have to up my search efforts
  9. I use an aluminum bodied Xacto retractable cutter pen , the one with the really small blade. And I put a brand new blade in every time before trimming BMF. For me it works better than the larger blades do, as it makes it easier to make turns ,,especially sharp ones. At least if does for me,,,,but everyone is different Just let the weight of the knife do the work and just trace it along the trim to be cut ,,works great for me
  10. If its the gremlin looking thing, I 'm out and not interested. I would be much more interested in the AMX3 show car. Or I think it was the barris built AMX show car would be even better ( for me )
  11. Built and done,,,,maybe 100 give or take a few . Unbuilt last count was almost 400 . Builtups / started on kits maybe another 50 or so . Hard to keep track,,they keep multipling everytime I ck . Just a couple days ago I went looking for a kit I thought I had 3 of yet could only find 2 . I did find a couple I didn't know I had , A builtup original issue 61 Ford convertible and a started on Johan Comet pro stock . I have no idea when or where or how long I've had either one.
  12. I try to support my LHS when ever I can. He's extremely competitive with any online sellers prices by the time you factor in the shipping costs. Sometimes he's even cheaper. He can order anything and usually have it in a few days if its something I want he doesn't have. The only thing I buy on Ebay is vintage kits . But I'll be honest, I can count ALL the currently avail modern kits I've bought the past 2 years ,,on ONE hand . Vintage / obsolete kits,,,is a much MUCH different story .
  13. All new information to me...thanks. But then.....i a am NOT a gm guy by any stretch .
  14. I thought the Revell mustang was a 1/24th scale kit ?
  15. Can color be far behind, I hope not. My popcorn is still all warmed up.
  16. I'd be interested in hearing more.
  17. I may have 10 or more started,,,but I have to concentrate on 1 at a time on the bench or none ever get finished. FAR to easy to get sidetracked and open something else to do a mockup on a new idea and the original build gets lost in the shuffle. before long I have 10 kits in various stages. This spring I've been pulling them out ONE at a time and finish ONE at a time till its done.
  18. Any chance the engine is to high in the chassis? I haven't built the new release yet..... , but I have both an original issue as well as the Model King version done, with no complaints or do I remember any issues along the way . if you need to see anything in particular ,,just ask
  19. Here's a little food for thought. A 426 Hemi is NOT a true Hemi . Look at the cutaway pic shown. and compare it to a similar view of a 392 Hemi . The 426 piston one side of the piston is taller, and the spark plug isn't dead dead center of the combustion chamber, plus its canted slightly ,,,,,,. On a 392 It's straight up and down and in line with the piston stroke
  20. Chuck, You ever thought about doing the decals for this car with the colored side panels on it instead of the all red version .( II think theyre a red and orange and yellow maybe ? If u do, I'll take a set.
  21. I like the Dart kit as a doner essentially because it gives me the correct radiator, big block exhaust manifolds and system . Plus the interior floor pan isn't part of the chassis like it is on the duster. ,,,Plus its what I have more of as parts kits . So my opinion may be slightly biased. Neither one will be a drop in , actually I think the Duster chassis itself would be easier,,, Just some trimming at the rear bumper / trunk floor area to fit the barracuda body . regardless of which one you use , I plan to cut the engine compartment out of the doner body and transplant it to the barracuda
  22. MOPAR I prefer Massively Over Powered And Respected thank you very much
  23. Busy is an understatement. The past 10 days put a hurting on my bank account. After I took that that pic this afternoon ,,It made me think if I need to concentrate on this lineup as to be all 5 finished by the end of 2016 .I was poking around MCW and Scale finishes sites today to ck color choices and see If I need to get on the ball and order paint if needed. I've been thinking either the 58 Edsel or the 58 Ford will be a light yellow exterior with maybe a bronze color interior ,,,not sure which yet The Bonneville is done , I just recently replaced the AMT generic wheels with Modelhaus promo versions,,,,SO much better looking of a car
  24. Spring and summer is old car season for me. As I am in the final stages of a ground up restoration of a clients 1968 Charger RT ,,,it 'should' be done by late spring , So I will be marketing it all summer at different shows in hopes to gain interest in restoration work for next winter. All this is in addition to house and yard repairs, mow grass , kids activities. etc etc We are going to AZ again this summer to visit family ( this time we'll be more serious looking for property to purchase) So my model bench time becomes very limited in spring / summer........ But I do at least try to get a few bodies painted before the cold moves back in
  25. If you have this many model kits,,,,you might be a hoarder
