  1. with a good primer base you can use most any paint on it I use Krylon or Duplicolor engine enamel paint for all my engines . IMO,,, spray a test piece first
  2. lots of differences between 1965 versus 1966 1965 - http://www.ebay.com/itm/Plymouth-Barracuda-Formula-S-/281892074904?forcerrptr=true&hash=item41a213b598:g:Yy4AAOSwHPlWeZ11&item=281892074904 1966 - http://www.velocityjournal.com/images/org/2012/581/pm1966barracuda58149429.jpg
  3. same here. i would be all over a new tool 1961 300
  4. I'm not 100% sure But I think SMH is a dealer for others peoples products. My gut tells me this is no different I've bought Competition resins pieces from them as well as dozens of decals ,,never one problem
  5. I would be pleasantly surprised to see anything that hasn't been issued anytime/sometime in the past 20+ years
  6. I've never received kits for christmas..this year was no exception. I buy far to many throughout the year...all by myself
  7. I've used guitar string ( fyi,,,its very tough to bend though ) But looks great done.Especially for park brake cables. I've also used beading wire from Micheals . As for attaching it to the chassis I use pieces of a smaller gauge beading wire
  8. Anyone tried to use the new Revell 1970 Cuda kit , as a parts only ? Such as the interior in an original MPC body shell as an example. reason I ask, I have a spare MPC 1971 Cuda body. ( Its the Don Schumacher funnycar body with the hood molded in ) . , but nothing else . And was wondering if the revell glass, interior and chassis will fit under it without to much work
  9. In the Mopar community. the car is pretty well known of. If memory serves me right , there was a 1968 or 69 Dart done very similarly
  10. After looking at a few of the Revell kits in the box. The multi-piece body scared me off I did just this. I picked up a real clean builtup 1959 Sunliner kit a while back.
  11. As a rule, I dont bid till the very end anyway. I'll bid a touch above what I really want to spend . If I win , great. BUT If I dont win it, so be it ,,,,,, I feel I didnt really want to pay that much for it anyway . Especially if its hard to find item . I guarentee there WILL be another one soon enough . Case in point. I was looking for a clean builder 1958 Buick. But they kept going over my max budget of the $75 range. I just kept watching for one and sure enough I got one, For far less than my max budget. Another one is .I got a near mint unbuilt 59 Edsel kit for about what I clean builtup sells for . You just HAVE to be patiant and leave your emotions at the sign-in page 2nd,,,,,,I dont bid til the end because I dont want to have the sellers buddies run my bid up only to max it out to see my max bid. I've been down that road several times only to have them retract there bid then THEY snipe it at the end As far as Ebay a good thing or not. Without it, I wouldnt have a tenth of my stash . ( my wife might thnk that might be a good thing ) Me personally I like it,,,you just have to use it to YOUR advantage ( see bold comments above )
  12. right down to the correct orange spark plug boots,,,nice touch I'm tuned in

Steve, I have an extra AMT 1960 Bonneville convertible builtup Just say the word and its yours. I havnt forgot , I owe you BIGTIME
  14. Ditto, I assume these are all 1/16th scale
  15. My deepest condolences to his family and close friends. I think he was around my age so 53 would be about right. Which is far to young to make an exit. I had talked to him a few times over the years about decals and bodies bouncing pontential ideas off his head. I have a couple of his decal sheets and they are VERY nice
  16. Now THESE I would most definitly buy several of . Especially the Delahaye
  17. If so ,,,it Sounds like the version is marketed to represent an actual 1965 Race car for the period yet the tires are for modern times . So basically the tires are all wrong for the model as represented on the box art????? Which means to build an accurate car as shown on the box, the builder has to use tires from the aftermkt or parts box ( IF they have one ) A very bad decision IMO
  18. I've had some issues with Slixx decals sheets splitting apart when trying to remove them from the water / apply them. But as far as I know I havent had any yellowing issues with any decals once applied . Be them kit decals , slixx or Fred cady. And I have at least one build with fred cady decals thats well over 20 years old now
  19. what tires are going to be in this kit
  20. I have 3 total.,,,One has diecast cars and dealership promos and some of my wife's Precious Moments figurines , 2nd one is models and shares space with my 2 girls sports awards My main one,, in the family room downstairs is all models . That one my Dad made for me a few years back .
  21. I would dare say , she did that to a lot of teenage boys back then cool model . Doing Figures is something I have never thought about getting into . Might have to rethink that .
  22. Great project idea ,,,,, Great movie. This should be good. replicating the inteiror should be interesting , especially the smoke
  23. I just realized I never postd in this thread. I've had the pleasure of dealign with Jon several times over the years in the 1/1 Mopar world we both traveled in . My deepest condolences for his wife, family and friends . He will be sorely missed
