  1. Correct, the 66 and 67 Base chargers had the exact same wheelcovers. Then the all chrome magnum 500 5 spoke road wheels were optional , beginning in 1967 ( they had no trim ring )
  2. Ditto,. I have a couple of the 64 Comets and these would make great companions for them . ESPECIALLY if theres going to be a drag car version
  3. From what I remember years ago talking to a guy who used to run one in a Hemi powered Duster , the clutch flites wern't known to survive long . I think it was due to the insane internal rpms the trans made with it,,,,, as well as the initial shock load when the clutch was released was known to destroy the rear sprag,
  4. Thanks, I knew one was longer , just couldnt remenber which one( I am not a GM guy ) I may just wait to replicate his car once the Catalina kit arrives. as I see the seat pattarn is different than the one I want do as well
  5. Agreed, I dont remember ever seeing one in kit or resin form I use to have one and it was just a 727 with the bellhousing removed and a scattershield in its place
  6. Ok, This may seem like a silly question. But whats the difference between a 1961 Ventura, a Catalina and a Bonneville ? I want to build mine as the 1961 Packer Pontiac SS car and I think it was a Catalina,,,Yet I dont see any difference from this Ventura kit other than the nameplate in the side mldg
  7. You to ? I got nuttin , not even a single number Oh . I might try again this week ,,,,Might. as I rarely buy into these
  8. Very nice. Ive have this on my to do this listcor some time Its a long list
  9. I'll have to look around and see if I still have it. But I used to have a stock grille for the AMT 65 Dodge. Almost positive I still have the hood with the blower opening in it ,,, I might even have an extra rear bumper for the '64 Plymouth Chassis looks like it might be from the 1967 thru 1969 Plymouth Barracuda annual
  10. Now thats what I call one serious paint booth . I wish I had the room for something like that . Is it heated to ?
  11. Same here, I've got a few ot them so it would take a major improvement to make me buy another one So, whos got pics of these fabulous tires ?
  12. Pay off a few relatives and friends houses, set up a very nice trust for my 2 girls , my dad, the mother in law ,,,then throw one helluva party ,,,,,,,'then vanish then my 1/25th scale dream garage would turn into a 1/1 scale dream garage only better Model kits would WAAAAAAAAAAY down the list
  13. Wasnt it Lindberg that did a Grand Cherokee ? I remember seeing hundreds of them on discounts / closeout tables years ago
  14. Finally pulled the trigger and bought a 65 Satellite kit as well as a 1961 Pontiac Ventura kit,,while I was there
  15. Pretty much sums it up for me the same way. I use to buy just about every kit produced oto replicate cars I saw/seen on the street over they years or old drag cars of the early 60s to early 70s. Today, I limit my purchases to kits I really really want. Or kits missed out on and/or had back in the day. A few years ago I sold off hundreds of kits I knew I would never get to or lost interest in altogether. I grew up during the 60s . And for as long as I can remember ,,I liked cars. Didnt matter the make or model . If it had an engine and 4 tires I wanted to know more. Over the years I've evolved to Mopar fan. Saw my first Superbird at about 1973 , ( give or take a year or 2 ) And from that moment I was hooked. I wanted a fast car that looked cool and was absolutly nothing like anyone else had . Over the years I've had several of each Hemi cars, sixpack cars , GTX convertibles. , and even one each of a Daytona and a Superbird . Over time, I fell in love with the big open cars of the early 60s. Of all makes. So Now, slowly and as time, budget and family allows I buy my dream garage ,,,just in 1/25th scale . I think my dream grail list is nearly complete,, all except maybe a half dozen or so kits. Today I restore classic cars for other people. So I get to play with the big boys toys,,,yet spend other peoples money ( isnt life beautiful )
  16. Found this page with some great pics of the original Melrose MIssle AFX car http://samson-power.com/65afx/melrose_missile.htm
  17. Ditto,
  18. Agreed 100% Most of my stash of kits includes multiples of multiples . ( as an example I have well over a dozen of the various kits of the 1962 Impala drag car kits. then maybe a dozen of the 1964 Thunderbolts.) I can use them for parts or with different decals turn them into another drivers/teams car from the era. I would say maybe a 3rd of my stash is old long dis-continued kits . And those I have to buy when,,,,,,,, A - When they become avail ,,,,,in conjunction with , B - I have the disposabe income And would guess at one time I had close to 1000 kits on hand . At my age I realized the odds I would build them all wasnt likely . SO I sold off the ones I knew I would never get to,, Be them a subject I wasnt interested in. Or If it was a collectable kit I looked and saw thousands of dollars just sitting there . So over the course of a couple of years me and Ebay were good partners .
  19. Agreed 100% But at least it appears to be a reasonably easy fix. Althought I dont understand the purpose to mold the glass to fit from the exteiror in the 1st place. .......Same goes for moulding wheels that only fit the same kits tires
  20. Tuckers exist today mainly because they became a collectible almost instantly due to the circumstance behind them from the very beginning. If a quality kit becomes avail today . I would buy one ,. Mainly because I think its help fund other projects. But a tucker kit isnt even in my top 10,,,,probably not even in my top 25 .
  21. Thats a good score. Hands down the best aftermkt dist on the market ,,,especially for the price. I dont even bother trying to drill my own anymore. I think I have about a dozen of them on hand myself . Mine are all tan cap with black wiring,,,its a mopar thing .
  22. Looks like a triumphant return in a big way. I didnt get one built last year. Barely even got time at the bench at all. But 2016 is going to be different ,,,,and very soon
  23. Looks more like a good start. To many is all relative . There are days I think I have to many ( between 400- and 500 ) But a good chunk of mine are old builtups and having multiples in boxes hides a good portion of them to prying eyes . Then again ,,,Some say all I have is a good start........ as I believe there are a few on here with kits in the 1000's My wife never complains about them either, we both buy pretty much what we want when we want . Although she did tell me once I better get busy if I plan to build them all . That will happen when I retire to southern AZ in a few years ...Soon,,,,,very very soon .
  24. So is the altered wheelbase version a hardtop or sedan ? I think there were a lot more cars done as sedans versus the hardtops.
  25. found them http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Decals-for-64-Plymouth-Dodge-Chargers-Super-Stock-/301749585382?hash=item4641ad45e6:g:tQ4AAOSwmrlUuaTd
