  1. No dis-respect to the owner or builder of said ratrod. But , they all look like they drug the junk out of the pond and got it running. No I am not a fan BUT, the world would be kind of boring if we all liked the same thing
  2. The hood is the same between a charger 500 versus a regular charger,,,only the Daytona has a unique hood (it's almost the same as 1970 Charger )
  3. Ditto, If you don't mind how well does the red paint color match the red lettering of the decals?
  4. Interior is exactly the same as the regular 1969 Charger
  5. I used to have a clear bodied J car kit ( sold it looooong time ago) had to find a picture on the net . I think all the MPC 1968 thru 1970 Charger kits had a clear hood ( maybe even the 68-69 Coronet kits as well ) Polar lights did the clear bodied funnycar kits and they had a translucent bodies as well
  6. 1965 to 71 Dodge pickup 1957 to 59 Desoto Adventurer 1960-61 Chrysler 300 1957 thru 1959 Dodge Custom Royal Lancer an acurate 1968 AND 1969 Coronet Can you tell where my interests lie?
  7. Looks good, I think this is the 1st Charger kit I've ever seen built I have one of the barracudas in process,,,,,but I have't got much model bench time the last couple of years. Only in the secondary market.. It's been years since I've seen one of the red bodies. The clear ones are not real hard to find though,,,but do command a slight premium over the white pastic versions. If you get lucky and find a red one it's gonna hurt. There was a clear red barracuda body as well,,same way tough to find.
  8. I've got a couple Johan superbirds in green ,,and a couple of the 63 Fury kits in green and I think one of my Challenger funnycar kits is green Btw, I have never seen a Johan 1969 Roadrunner kit molded in green . they are usually, white, off white, yellow , red or orange
  9. A good question is,,,,, is this the same car? If so ,,,is it before or after the Ramchargers paint scheme?
  10. Bought this one as a builtup a loooong time ago . It was brushed painted some horrid looking green color. Stripped it in brake fluid and all the paint practically fell off leaving near pristine bare white plastic. So I just polished it and left it white. I need to find some tail lights and a steering wheel for it someday
  11. I like this one a lot. Very well done build of a kit thats getting tough to come up with
  12. IMO, the most logical step would be a 1970 Charger. ,,but thats just one mans opinion. And we all know what thats worth
  13. I've got this picture of the car. It does have kind of a candy look to it . I definitly don't think it's plain red , nor do I think it's any kind of metallic.
  14. I have no problem buying old builtups. I've been pretty lucky and most are decent enough to just sit in my case as is. I don't have the heart to take them apart to redo here are a couple
  15. This particular car ( as shown ) was not raced in 1970. I don't think it appeared as a Ramchargers car till either really late 70's or early 80's
  16. I sure hope it does well.( the Mustang and the Corvair ) and they think about poping out the Chevelle at some point.
  17. Change the hood scoop , and I'd drive the snot out of this one . I did some work on an XK140 ( it was a 1957 coupe ) and it was a slug. So I can see adding some punch to get some fun factor
  18. If they do, I'll take a dozen But , nothing avail as far I know I know someone was doing the door panel white stripe ( but can't remember who )
  19. Correct, and I have serious doubts the car ran with that interior in it . That said , finding pics of the car back in the day is tough, when you do a search and 90% of what comes back is this restored car I remember seeing some photos of the car many years ago and ' I think ' it was black ,,but don't hold me to that. almost positive it had aftermkt seats in it .
  20. I thought Amblewagon did the AFX cars ?
  21. How about a little wing ?
  22. Chuck, any idea how well if at all these will fit an MPC bodied kit .? I like it a lot better than the Revell body And I have a few old Barry Setzer builtups to use
  23. I've built a couple of them. It's a pretty simple kit to do . But looks pretty good on the shelf. Like mentioned, the kits were designed back in the mid to late 60's so plan on lots of scratchbuilding if 100% accuracy is your goal Do it and enjoy it,,i did
  24. Today was a very good day. ABout 3 pm today , it moved under it's own power for the 1st time since approx 1994 Cars owner was pumped to say the least . 1970 Challenger Rt/SE 440 six pack 4 speed 4.10 Dana.
