  2. Aar Cuda and Transam challenger had E60 15 on the ft and G60 15's on the rear
  3. Tried there several times,,, but the way I found .. unless your practicaly giving ity away dont bother. imo only
  4. Once it goes in my case it's pretty much done . whether it's actually 'completely finished ' is another story . I've had incomplete builds in the case for over 10 years before they came back out and were completely finished. Actually I think I have 2 or 3 unfinished cars in the case now that were started in the 90's This is one I started before my oldest daughter was born ( she'll be 18 in April )
  5. I think Good Stuff used to make one ??????????
  6. Of THIS year ? Better hurry
  7. But this one, is the one I WILL do someday
  8. If I can ever come up with a couple of the long dis-continued Resin kits. I want to do a few such as these
  9. black lower block. and oil pan bare aluminum cylinder head and water pump hsg. valve cover was black for carb and efi versions cleared aluminum VC for MOST turbo cars
  10. once paid $500 cash for a factory sealed Golor Me Gone 1968 Charger funnycar kit. Like an idiot sold it a few years later ,,,and yes I got my money back out of it
  11. There used to be one made in resin. But now long out of production. If you find one , pm me as I am looking for a couple of them
  12. Some of you guys are cheating. Taking pictures of the 1/1 car and posting its a model isnt fair Some amazing builds in this thread ,,as well as some phenominal photography work
  13. Oh I am not knocking it. I would love to have it (parents had one when I was young) And would love to be paid that kind of coin for my builds. I saw it when it was $800 or so. And was floored when I saw the final bid.
  14. Not in my wildest dreams did I think this would sell for this http://www.ebay.com/itm/1967-Ford-Country-Squire-Station-Wagon-Pro-Built-1-25-R-amp-R-Resin-/291316453944?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2047675.l2557&nma=true&si=kWIZWhislKrldyXncy2vjM2u5EQ%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc
  15. Thanks for all the tips fellas. I am looking at buying an original AMT 1959 Mercury convertible and the windshield is fogged pretty good in the pictures I have of it I may go ahead and pull the trigger on it and take a chance the glass can be cleaned up. Already ck'd Modelhaus and they show a vacuum formed replacement if it comes to that
  16. IMO, I cant see the Turbine kit being all that good of a seller myself. They are not teribilly hard to find in the secondary market and for about the same prices as most newer kits will be at . The 1959 Dodge on the other hand will be a very welcome newcomer
  17. Which kit is this ? I have an old Lincoln to do in the stash
  18. Ditto This is exactly the reason I have started looking for some older kits to redo, and unless they are cheap ( not likely ) I have to look at old builtup annuals , Concentrating on 1958 thru 1960 model years at the moment . Even builtups it's not exactly a cheap undertaking . I never imagned a 1960 Buick would sell for nearly a C note Bid on a 1958 Buick convetible last week and was blown out of the water when it sold for over $100
  19. Got my Ebay purchase this week. Going to get started on it after the 1st of the year
  20. I am looking at some old kits and the glass is fogged up . is this normal and is there anything that can be done to bring back the clarity?
  21. I would say it's pretty typical Johan interior . Once assembled it looks pretty good though. Like I said ,,, I don't do contests. My builds are for my shelf and if I can look in my case and see what I was trying to replicate,,all is good
  22. My parts box,,,with no idea the original source . I just found some slicks that looked the part and fit the wheels I was using. And hand painted the whitewall. They are probably to narrow ,I think they are about 1/4" wide ?????? but 100% accuracy is not my goal. as long as it looks the part I'm good with it and I dont do contests.
  23. I saw this one last week and I keep thinking I need to build this one
  24. I've used Duplicolor rattle cans on about every kit I've built in the past 3 or 4 years . More paint for about the same price and almost endless color choices . All sprayed right out of the can,,, The few times I do need laquer I buy the cheap qt cans from tractor supply
  25. So true, when I try organize anything.I cant find squat I'll find it,,,,,,, when I go looking for something else
