  1. no resin versions of any the above, at least not that I'm that I'm aware of ,,,,,,if there is someone let me know I REALLY want to do a Diamante and Duster 1 The RTS 1970 Roadrunner would not be a real hard one to do, But, the RTS Duster( the green one ) and the RTS 1971 Roadrunner would be a bit tougher to do than one might think. As there are several custom touches that don't pop out unless you really study the cars. I wish my body work skills were up to the task to attempt a master
  2. I use them from time to time . but like mentioned I can usually buy local for about the same price once shipping is added in to the equation
  3. Is the grille and bumper going to be chromed once released for sales ? Would it be possible to get one with NO bed ( I have a ramp bed hauler build in mind ) Might have to get one of these as I've been looking for an earlier Ford pickup to build as a period correct drag car tow vehicle
  4. I'm a diehard Mopar guy, But as an avid vintage drag car fan ,,,,I am so looking forward to this Ford AND the Ford F100 Maybe , just maybe somewhere in the near future we might get a late 50's Desoto or a late 60's Dodge pickup
  5. Although torque boxes 'are supposed to be ' A hemi only thing, it's been well documented they showed up and numerous drivetrain options . So technically they are correct on at least some cars, including 340 cars
  6. I've only used one set. but I was happy enough with them to order more. Are they slixx quality? , imo , No The one set I used had some cracking during the install ,,,but considering some of the subject matter you have no other choice ,,i'm good. I ordered several more sets about a week ago , they haven't shown up yet. but as long as they do in a timely fashion,( 3 to 6 weeks ) and I'm good
  7. Looks good. I want to do one for my shelf, and I'll probably just do the snap kit as well, quick, simple and easy ( may even let my daughter build it )
  8. Owners/drivers name is Rosie Kossuth , out of Texas . Do a googe search under her name and found and some info pops up, Looks like it's a black interior , bucket seats, max wedge car
  9. Anyone know if a plastic , or resin conversion is avail for a 1937 Ford woodie ? It can be 1/25 th or 1/24 th scale
  10. Did you not see this ? remaining in the 'prone' position would NOT be a problem
  11. Pretty cool. I'm sure he had a lot to do during the ascent . ,,,,,,,but I wonder what was going thru his mind on the way up. Because irregardless of the details . Once it left the ground there was only one way back down,,,, good or bad I wonder where the balloon will come back down at, as I'm sure it's being tracked.
  12. One of the nice things about this announcment is, original 1970 Issues will start coming out of the woodwork. Fortunately, I only have the one or two and I'll think I'll just keep them . ( I've got less than the price of a new kit in them anyway)
  13. I just made an order to complete future projects just in case . I don't need any of them asap but want to get them as a just in case , hopefully all goes well
  14. For some reason the website doesn't come up. http://www.specialappearancedecals.com/
  15. UhOh, Thats not good I need several of the decals he makes
  16. Mans name is Bill Wieman
  17. So, is the revell 1970 Challenger r/t kit actually 1/25th scale ? if so is a plastic bodied kit ? this one as an example ( not my listing btw ) http://www.ebay.com/...=item337b8eecc8
  18. Ditto, I prefer to not pass judgement till I see the final version in person. But what I can see is the rear portion of the hood bulge is to tall and to squared off at the back end. edit I'll add in here, If the hood is the only flaw in it, (and so far thats the only glaring fault I see ) I'll still be tickled pink and do the happy dance when it arrives . If Aoshima wants to compete - take this and run with and do a 1971 Cuda or a 1971 Challenger and go head to head with it on sales potential . An accruate 1/25th scale 1971 Challenger could easily eclipse a 1970 Cuda kit
  19. I'll be surpised if the car breaks 7 figures. This car has a storied history that ( IMO ) will prevent it from bringing any kind of record price. In the Mopar world it's refered to as the 'wheelbarrow ' car An amusing read about this car. http://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=7391702&page=0&fpart=1&vc=1
  20. Really going to depend on the thickness and quality of the decal material in question. I tend to think it would be easier than it sounds, http://www.decalsbylucas.com/MOPAR_Mod_Tops.html As an FYI, there was at least ONE 1970 Hemi Cuda that came equipped with a mod top ( and it still exists today leading a pampered life ) http://www.mooresmop...m/modtop93.html
  21. I've gone thru stages. back when I was a kid, I didn't sand or prep anything . I bought and built them as fast as I could buy them . then acted out wrecks and crashes , complete with burning crashes and flames. then it started all over again as my allowance allowed. Later years I went thru a stage where ever model I built had to be detailed to the ninth degree. some taking over a year of off and on work to finish. Fast forward to modern times. I build to make it accurate for the subject at hand, and with excetion to some small aftermkt add ons for a few,,, they're now more like box stock builds . In the past year I've still only managed to finish maybe 3 or 4 builds. Family, Kids activites and running a business take most of my time . Once life settles down I doubt I'll ever go back to the super detailed builds.
  22. Another good subject. I want it , almost as bad as the 70 Cuda ( almost) I personally would love to see a 1968-71 Dodge pickup
  23. Although it may not be the answer your looking for. But my gutt says it was based on a 427 series block and heads. But,,,,,I'm not all that well versed on NHRA rules of the time period either.
