  1. SWEEEEEEEEEEET. I've not done any of the Harrell cars,,,,, I need to change that
  2. connects to the side of the distributer body - just below the cap
  3. Here is a picture of a 1-1 if it'll help they were not real complicated. just a center bell crank to control the shafts where they go thru all four injector bases
  4. IMO , if your getting paid to build, your a pro. ALTHOUGH , that doesn't mean your good.
  5. A little insperation for ya. It's one of my all time favorite cars. This is an old Good Stuff body/kit.( it's been done quite some time )
  6. Speed City does both grilles. BUT, I think it's based on the old AMT body. The Polar Lights grille will NOT interchange with the AMT grille. http://speedcityresin.com/65CoronetFront.jpg
  7. Post man dropped these off today.( auction was for them both ) Kit is a builder and stays with me. Johan 1963 Dodge Polara , kit and a distressed promo Promo is going to get flipped and go away.
  8. I never said it was undesirable, it just doesn't have the popularity the earlier 68-70 B-body cars do. And I'm not saying an all new tool to do one would be a loosing proposition for model manufacturers. But an all new tool of say a 1970 Road runner would be a better money maker
  9. WOW, Nice looking build. I was just thinking about this very car a couple days ago and was wondering if there was ever a 1/25th scale kit of it( I have the metal open cockpit car........Franklin mint maybe ?) I never knew the closed car was a non running clay mockup.
  10. Thnks for all the kind words. I appreciate it. Thanks, It's just set back together for now to keep all the pieces in one place. Plan is to take it apart maybe this fall/winter and actually glue it all back together then give it to the 1-1 cars owner as a Xmas gift. He's a really good friend of mine and has been for years.
  11. AFX cars are the top of my drool list. so I'll be watching this one
  12. put the putty and sandpaper down and start typing
  13. 1-1 , I like and can appreciate them all ,,, from OE stock to street rods. But I raraly walk thru the race car pits at a 1-1 show. But for myself to own I like the OE stock look. Maybe not to a full blown right valve stem cap type of car. But it has to look stock the average people looking at it. Weird part is, in modeling I hardly ever build anything replica stock. 90% or better is old drag cars
  14. These GTP cars have alkways been a secret fantasy of mine. I for one would love to go for a ride in one full blast around Lemans Good looking build btw
  15. Even though I have both a 1971 and a 1972, I'm in New tool on a model that has limited following even in 1-1 ? IMO, not likely. I'd take the re-issue and be darn happy I got it
  16. I sold the combo kit this past winter at a swap meet. unbuilt truck and trailer, started boat. $20 and it didn't exactly fly off the table when I 1st sat it down
  17. Dan, Again I am not 100% certain but I think they were standard on a 1970 GTX (along with the rocker mouldings )
  18. Actually, I don't think wheel opening mouldings were even an option on a Roadrunner. (not 100% certain though)
  19. I want to say I remember seeing a built one sell on Ebay maybe 2 years ago. It was a resin kit but no idea whos ?
  20. Very nice. I have one in the 'to do ' pile. right along side a ClubDeMer and an Turbine car kits someday .
  21. Wow, small world. I know the place well ( now closed btw) The trains and hobbies dept asst mgr is a good friend of mine. Me personally. I have always considered it a hobby. or more of something I like to do with free time. I like all kinds of cars, primarily Mopar stuff ( especailly old drag carsof all makes ) and models are A LOT cheaper . Although I can understand how some might think of it as art, I never have.
  22. Nice looking car. Looks pretty good as a plain white wrapper. These are probably one of my favorite kits to build.
  23. I hate to say this , but the subject matter is of no interest to me. (Sorry guys ) But WOW , watching this come together has me in awe
  24. I look for uniformity for the display shelf just as much as accuracy. I want all my builds to represent the intended subject in the same scale .
  25. I looked at a Hubert Platt replica many years ago and it was more of a turquose in color I am pretty sure I used a testors color, but don't rememeber what I used
