  1. I'm with you Curt, show cars are quite silly. This one has that vibe that Barris always managed to get when he ruined a car. More or less like Foose today. Your work on the kit is over the top. It almost looks pretty.
  2. The car itself is a joy to look at, and in this color combo, it's even nicer. I like the full wheel covers too !!
  3. Impressive!! Starsky would hate to see the Tomato in such a wore out condition.
  4. It's a very nice paint job, black is quite unforgiving, believe me I know. Nothing wrong with yours. If I were the guy in the "owner couple" I would move back to the Ford in a hurry!! By the way, great job on the dash, and on the fine detail on the grille and wheelcovers.
  5. Very cool builds!! FoMoCo 4 Ever!!
  6. Very nice group of cars. Love the Buick. I'm very partial to the color. That Mustang was a great save.
  7. Great save!!! It looks perfect.
  8. If you want to completely hide the interior, it would be a good way to do so. Did that a couple of times on total curbside models, with no interior whatsoever.
  9. Since Revell didn't include the Standard dash decal on the '40 Ford coupe kit, I had to make my own. Found some pictures of a NOS dash, and used photoshop to make the decals. Also made one for the trunk badge. There is a JPG preview, and the Photoshop file. Decal.psd
  10. The engine is the part I like about the 1:1. You did a nice job on the kit, and the color suits it pretty well.
  11. WOW!!! Great job!! The small corrections did a world of difference.
  12. Love the '56 Chevrolet, and the Corsair.
  13. More pictures, please!!!
  14. Not much into rods, but this one looks great. It would be even nicer with a hopped up flathead instead of the brand Z engine Revell choose to include in the kit. It would be even more cool with a Model B four, with a OHV conversion, and all the goodies.
  15. It looks like the original builder had done quite a nice job. Neatly painted seat, nice engine, with nicely painted starter, and it had the original decals.
  16. Thanks gentlemen!! Got the idea as I really didn't like the Monogram box art on this particular kit. It's a all stock blue Ford with some very odd white decals that are quite ugly. The first issue box art, with the green Ford on a nice grass field, even tough you could not get a green '40 Standard.
  17. They are all fantastically clean, and picking one would be a subject preference matter. That '57 Chevrolet... That's my favorite, in all her factory stock glory.
  18. '57 Ford detected!!!
  19. Thanks!! Loved your '57 Ford wagon.
  20. YES!!! Way better than a decal. A bit of foil and Tamiya clear red should make great looking taillights.
  21. Saw some very cool box art models, and even built some. Then the idea hit me. Why not to build a reverse box art? Sent the picture to a couple of friends, and now they are looking for this super rare issue of the Monogram kit, LOL!!!!!!!!! Should I tell? 1940 Ford Reverse Box Art by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1940 Ford Reverse Box Art by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr Even being a super duper "rare" kit, I have one out of the plastic: 1940 Ford Reverse Box Art by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr
  22. It looks like a '40 Ford, that's for sure. The bumper brackets are the week point of the kit, as they are non existent, just some round receptacles to the pins on the chassis. Well, it's a snap kit after all. I never noticed this kit has no taillights. Are they decals?
  23. If you are going to build just one, build a Galaxie!! And very well done it is!!
  24. Sweet!!! Love the '40 Ford, the '34, the Model T, the Lincoln and the Edsel. The '34 is specially cool!!!
