  1. Valentines day that is! Here's hoping everyone has a sweetheart to treat today. I don't, but I hope all my friends here do.
  2. They've been doing that for several years now, in fact most cop cars are done that way now as well. Cool to see the process. Thanks for posting.
  3. They couldn't pull it off for the 16th Petty Charger I doubt they'll be able to do it for the gasser.
  4. I think I just got diabetes from looking at it! Nice clean build.
  5. I also found the H 13H Bell in MASH livery, 1/35 from Revell. Either one could be a Bat Copter Starting point.
  6. I have no words that can describe the work i'm seeing here! I think i'll go back to the remedial class.
  7. To help the paint flow better and a little less thick, you can put the can in a bowl of warm water for a few minutes before spraying. Make sure to wipe the can dry before shaking it anywhere near the model.
  8. If it turns out to be too hot for the plastic you're putting it on, lay a good coat of primer and try again. Bill is right, you won't find out with the spoon test. It's different plastic and thus won't give the proper results. Use some sprue to test.
  9. I'd love to see this one in 24th/25th scale!
  10. Congrats Terry! I've always disliked diets. You know what a diet is don't you? A diet is where you can eat all you want of everything you don't like!
  11. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showforum=12You could start here:
  12. They are located on the internet
  13. Rich, I just got the notice the guages shipped out today. They're coming from California but they should be here this weekend. Either way I have an envelope all ready, and if they should show up while i'm in the hospital my mom has complete instructions what to do. That way I won't hold up your project. You have a great looking engine. Can't wait to see the rest.
  14. You know, they laughed long and hard at Gene Roddenberry with his communicators and replicators in Star Trek. Now here we are only a half decade later with cell phones (some of which still flip open) and 3D printing. Makes me wonder what's next. SNARK!
  15. I've private messaged you with some more suggestions.
  16. Unfortunately there's no selling allowed on this site. You might also wish to add your full name as per forum rules. There are alot of guys here on this site that can help. Check the "Where's Waldo" section and you might find folks in your area.
  17. I would agree then that Gilbert has the best idea. Check with local clubs and hobby shops to try and find someone who can go through them with you. Good luck in your endeavour.
  18. Best "pricing" advice I can give is to look them up on eBay. That's the basic price guide these days. At the very least it will give you a rough idea of values. Feel free to private message me and i'll try to help. My condolences on the loss of your father.
  19. My condolences for the loss of your friend.
  20. Thank's so much to all of you that have responded. Gregg is right, we are a family of sorts here. It never ceases to amaze me how quickly folks come together over a crisis. Wether it be the winter storm Nemo, or something as mundane as my surgery. I say "mundane" because the fantastic support i've recieved here makes it seem so. I know quite well that I can be an abrasive personality, and to see such support even from some folks that i've rubbed the wrong way (so to speak) has lifted my spirits like you wouldn't believe. Some of you have even taken the time to message me privately and that means so much to me. I'm only vertical due to the pain medication, and i'm gratefull for it because it has allowed me to continue to participate here on the board, which is most definitely a morale boost of first quality. So i'm just taking a moment from other ramblings in other topics just to let you all know what an awesome bunch of guys and gals you are. Harry P. inadvertently reminded me of something my grampa said many long years ago. "Son, worrying has never once solved a problem...but it has created bigger ones." I miss my grampa. Thanks to all for reading and thank you all so much for the support.
  21. Glenn has a good point. I would suggest opening a page in both and see which format you prefer. They are both hosting sites but may have different features making one appeal to you more. Load up a few pics on both and use them for a couple weeks. Like a test drive.
  22. I like it!
  23. I prefer photobucket. It gives each picture four link styles. Img, e-mail & im, HTML and direct links.
  24. This is what I use. It comes in three colors. Pink and Orange are the other two. I think the yellow looks more ghostly.
  25. There's a good glow-in-the-dark paint in the craft section at Wal-Mart as well if the craft store doesn't pan out. Just watch the labels and don't get fabric paint. Otherwise the ship will wind up looking like it's covered in snot! Also, keep in mind that GID paints all but dissapear when they dry, so check it in the dark after each coating until you get the look you like.
