Kenny B Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 This is a Tamiya 1/24 scale of a 1988 Porsche 911 Turbo that I built a couple of years ago. The kit is built box stock except for paint and window tint. Thanks Kenny B
Modelmikey Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 Nice clean build. One thing I like about most of the Japanese kit manufactures is how much better the tires look, those rims/tires help add to the mean stance.
Roncla Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 That looks like a typical Tamiya kit. Perfect stance and really captures the look.
aurfalien Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 Wow, with the right lighting, I think it would be hard to tell it from a real one. Totally bitchen car.
taaron76 Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 Sharp! Did the wheels look like that straight out of the box? They look great! Tim
sjordan2 Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 Extremely nice. What is the paint brand and color?
spencer1984 Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 Very nice! What did you use to tint the windows?
Kenny B Posted April 16, 2015 Author Posted April 16, 2015 A few more pics. Thanks to all for the wonderful comments. The paint is Model Master Anthracite Gray Met. # 2711 applied with an airbrush. The rims are stock chrome and the spokes should be painted on the real car but the chrome was so nice I couldn't cover them up. The only down side to this model is there is no engine to build. The window tint is automotive window tint that I got from a automotive detail shop. Thanks, Ken.
bogger44 Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 That is a beautiful Porsche Kenny. Awesome color choice and the stance is just right.
Kenny B Posted April 18, 2015 Author Posted April 18, 2015 Thanks everyone for your wonderful comments. Ken.
