Wow Jim! That looks great! I love everything but the hinges and the wiring details really stand out.

About the dual pivot hinges: I'm curious about those. What? Why? How? (When and who)

Thanks,

Absolutely beautiful, Jim! That Aston Martin color looks great on it, as the metallic spices it up a bit. The look without the 'guard rail' bumpers is a lot sleeker, too. Just the right amount of details, with the wind screens a nice touch. That shade of red interior even goes great with the green. A timeless classic, you really nailed the right look for it. Hey, bring it over to the NNL East, so I can get an up-close look at it  .

What's left to say? That is truly a beautiful representation of scale modeling at its finest! The wiring work and all of the details on the chassis are magnificant!!

The only thing missing is the flashlight under the seat. (Remember, at the end of the day, these things still had wiring by Lucas).

Excellent, the finish and detail are outstanding. Are those headlights box stock? They are very convincing. I've always ignored this kit in the shops, but I'm tempted to have a go at one now!

Absolutely gorgeous- I built a similar one from the metal kit several years ago, and added a driving light mounted in the bumper hole on the driver's side.

Thanks everyone for all the kind words.

Looks like I will be doing "honey-do" projects for a few months so nothing off the bench for a while. Probably won't have anything to post again until the fall.

Glad you all enjoyed the build.

Oh, Simon the head lights are box stock. I botched the re-chrome job. Len, the fuel tank lid doesn't work it's just the style.

Thanks again eveyone.

Great job as usual. I love the modifications and the color choices, green and red. The underhood detailing looks nice and tight. I have had this kit on order for weeks now from my local hobby shop. I know I could speed the process up going "internet order", but he's a good guy so I will wait. Anyway, your build is very inspirational...I have saved the pictures for later viewing when my kit arrives. Good Job.

Great build...have that kit on the way....mine will be a 50's era racer...but not as detailed as well as yours. It was a decent kit back in its metal days...hope it still is.

An excellent job of representing a classic British sports car and what better color to do it in then a British Green. I'll have to keep my eyes open for one of these kits and will be pleased with myself if I can build it half as good as you have.

WOW, now that's a REALLY beautiful Jaguar you've built there. I love all the little details you've added to this model. CONGRATS on a excellent build.
