Petetrucker07 Posted July 5, 2015 Author Posted July 5, 2015 The way I see it, if you can afford 2.5 mil for the Koenigsegg one:1, you can afford to drive it. Otherwise, it's a racecar.
Dave Van Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 One I think is under rated and I'd own is Honda NSX......
Petetrucker07 Posted July 5, 2015 Author Posted July 5, 2015 It was over shadowed by the, then, new Camaro because of resemblance. That's according to Car and Driver or one of the car review mags.
LaughingIndian Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 This So I can sell it and get on the waiting list for this
JollySipper Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 I would be happy with one of these, shouldn't be too hard to find a kit car or the VW chassis to put it on...........

I was gonna pick the Veneno, till I did some research and saw that the Koenigsegg one:1 is a faster, more powerful car. But, that Veneno is a badass car. Then again. I do like it in white. Deathgoblin Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 Most of the supercars I'd never be able to cram myself into. I'll take another 1972 Buick Skylark, and maybe a Rolls Royce Phantom coupe.
jaymcminn Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 Hmmm, something with looks, practicality, and that would be fun to drive... I would go for one of the new continuation/rebuilt Jensen Interceptors. Make mine gunmetal grey with tobacco hides, please.
Bernard Kron Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 (edited) Limitless funds to buy any car, impractical or not = one of a kind, irreplaceable classic. Mine would be this one, 1957 Maserati 450S Costin Zagato Le Mans Coupe: But what would be my streetable, money no object contemporary equivalent? Perhaps to have the Raeli Ferrari F80 Concept built and developed...: Otherwise, if I had to write the check and take delivery of a production car then the current leaders are most likely the LaFerrari or the Lamborghini Veneno shown above. tbill Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 Tricky question really. Not sure what I would want, I have had the chance to drive a lot of different vehicles ( no real high dollar super cars, but a lot of classic cars), and to be honest, some of the stuff I had thought I'd like to own, was a big let down after actually driving it. I guess what I mean to say is, they look awesome, big horsepower, but actually suck to drive. Even with money no object, I'd hate to buy something then find out I hate driving it, lol. So, in the end, I'd go with a 66 chevelle SS convert., with a 4 speed, or a 70 chevelle SS convert. with an LS6 and a 4 speed.
Pim Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 23 window samba kombi worth about 350,000 dollars so I got no chance
Tom Geiger Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 No exotic cars here, I wouldn't want to be mistaken for a Sheik! If it was "money is no object" I'd like one of those Tucker replicas that IDA Automotive was making on Cadillac chassis. I don't know if they're still producing them, but I'd ask them to build mine on a Tesla chassis. And then I'd drive it every day!
Ford guy Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 Wow, Tom, you've got a great idea there! That would be an awesome ride!
Dragfreak Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 (edited) I can gladly say I already own the car I'd buy if money were no object. Fortunately, it was pretty cheap for what it is. I do plan to change a few things in the near future though, a 4 inch cowl hood, early fiberglass front end, and spindle mount Weld Alumastar wheels to name a few. I'm sure its strange that somebody would want a vega of all things, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. Edited July 5, 2015 by Dragfreak

LaughingIndian Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 The problem with great vintage cars is that there's too much responsibility ... and who needs that if you're stinking rich?
Bernard Kron Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 The problem with great vintage cars is that there's too much responsibility ... and who needs that if you're stinking rich? $$$$$ for a "team" to take care of things... That's how its done.
Petetrucker07 Posted July 5, 2015 Author Posted July 5, 2015 This would work for me. That's begging to built. Tbill did it with Baldwin Camaros. Somebody needs to it with Shelbys.

I completely understand your viewpoint, and really like your line "I wouldn't trade it for anything."
