horsepower Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 Nice! The only thing missing is the keys and exhaust smell.
1972coronet Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 Looks "Super" !How's that Backlight ( colloq. , "rear window" ) trim to work with ? Would appear much easier versus trying to foil that Flying Buttress tunnel !
slusher Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 Sharp model Tom. Real nice work. So glad you finished it.
peekay Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 Very nice! Nothing like a bit of understatement.
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 I like this build! I used to have a customer who had a 2 door hard top that looked very much like this one (not an SS). The lady bought it new in 66 and drove it every day until about 10 years ago (don't know what happened). It was a 3 speed on the column. I liked that old car. It looked brand new the last time that I saw it. Nice work on this one.
mikemopar70 Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 (edited) Awesome build, I like the paint, these dog dishes looks really cool! Edited August 23, 2015 by mikemopar70
mikemodeler Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 Very nice, simple, clean and well detailed!
tbill Posted August 25, 2015 Author Posted August 25, 2015 thanks guys, didn't think i would ever get around to finishing it, lol. originally, i thought the rear window trim was going to look horrid, but once it was on, i was glad it was a separate part. it's a good sized molding in 1:1, and the kit molding looks way better than i had expected it to.
Jim B Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 Very nice job on the Chevelle, Tom. Well done. Looking forward to seeing it in October at the IPMS show. You are going to take it to the IPMS show, aren't you?
bogger44 Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 Very nice Chevelle. The paint looks flawless, subtle and suits the car very well. And, those steelies & caps are the perfect touch.
