cobraman Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Finished this one up a couple days ago. Tried to duplicate the rendering on the side panel of box. Only thing not from the box is the rear tires which I took from a die cast car. Paint is Testors gold with Duplicolor clear and a flat black section on roof. Not a bad old kit to have back.
unclescott58 Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Very nice Ray. One of our local model club member built one recently. He seemed to indicate he had a lot of troubles with his. Especially the windshield frame. And the general fit of the body to the fenders and chassis. How was yours? Any thought on this? I seem to remember no major problem the last time I built one. But, that was years ago.
cobraman Posted September 17, 2015 Author Posted September 17, 2015 Thanks. I did have a bit of trouble getting the body/interior assembly onto the frame but I managed to get it on.
slusher Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Sharp build Ray, looks good showing off the engine...
Ace-Garageguy Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Great looking little hot-rod. Looks like a really fun build too.
Crazy Ed Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Looks Good in Gold. Another winner there Ray.
cobraman Posted September 17, 2015 Author Posted September 17, 2015 Thank you very much gents. I did have a good time with this one. No major issues and I didn't mess up much.
MAGIC MUFFLER Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Looks clean and nice color choice..
rmvw guy Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 I still love all the AMT '32 Fords having built them many times. This one is a great kit. I always wanted to do the box art like yours but, don't know why I haven't. You really nailed it, what a great look!
1930fordpickup Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 It may not be a Cobra but you sure nailed this one.
Greg Myers Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 OK Ray, you can tell us. You've been playin' with this great build on the ground. I can see little tiny rocks in the front tire treads. Great detail touch.
Snake45 Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 Very nice old school/retrostalgia type build! Suddenly it's 1968 again!
russosborne Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 Ray, it looks great.I just picked up one of these. It's the first kit I remember watching my dad build when I was about 4 or 5. Can't decide how to build it, I really need several so I can build all of the box versions. My dad's birthday is the end of this month, I should build it for him for his birthday.Russ
cobraman Posted September 19, 2015 Author Posted September 19, 2015 That sounds like a cool idea Russ. I may build another one myself !
carrucha Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 Looks good. I recently bought this kit. Plans are for a full fendered drag car.
crazyjim Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 Not a Cobra but still a good looking SHINY rod.
