Scale-Master Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 This started as an MPC Street Fever Vette; a later reissue of the Mako Shark II. It was complete, unpainted and (poorly) partially assembled. I added the wheels and made the graphics. WIP Thread: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/102839-custom-vette/?page=1
Jantrix Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Wow. What's not to love? That looks great.
Jonathan Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 That is so cool! It's like an alter-ego to the Tom Daniel's California Street Machine Corvette. Only....better somehow.
Snake45 Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 Very different and therefore very interesting! Not sure I'm a fan of the black graphics but I LOVE the super-shiny green flake paint! You don't see these built every day and you've done an especially nice one! Well done and model on!
Ace-Garageguy Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 Nice save. Beautiful wheels too. The flake job really suits it.
aurfalien Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 WOW thats soo bad a@$!Such a killer build.
Nacho Z Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 That is pretty cool. It absolutely captures the 70's custom car look. The color is a real eye catcher. The next thing that caught my eye was the stance. She is sitting pretty!
Sean W Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 Fantastic paint! On top of that it is just a rad looking model, great job!
slusher Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 Killer Custom and great color and paint Mark..
robertw Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 That build makes an outrageous statement. Well done!
DumpyDan Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 That really looks good, the graphic are great color spot on, nice work does the front end still open?
Scale-Master Posted September 23, 2015 Author Posted September 23, 2015 Thanks guys!No Dan, it doesn't open, it is a curbside. The hood was off by a good 0.060 side to side. And it didn't line up well at all. Plus the engine and front suspension were a glue-bomb mess.
