Oh, Dan...

Do you wanna look up the definition of the word "reign" and try again?

Full Definition of reign

  1. intransitive verb
  2. 1 a :  to possess or exercise sovereign power :  rule b :  to hold office as chief of state although possessing little governing power <in England the sovereign reigns but does not rule>

  3. 2 :  to exercise authority in the manner of a monarch

  4. 3 :  to be predominant or prevalent <chaos reigned in the classroom>

from http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/reign

So, yes, class, I REALLY DID MEAN rain as in precipitating that judgment all over everybody:

Full Definition of rain

  1. intransitive verb
  2. 1 :  to send down rain

  3. 2 :  to fall as water in drops from the clouds

  4. 3 :  to fall like rain <soot and ash rained down>

  5. transitive verb
  6. 1 :  to pour down

  7. 2 :  to give or administer abundantly <rained blows on his head>

from http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/rain

Were I to use the word reign as you mandate, Dan, I would have said something to the effect of "...high and mighty judgment reigns among all the sniveling puling little pull-up brats", or words to that effect.

Seriously, you really making it this easy?  If not, Merry Christmas - ya GOT me!

Don't rain on our parade.

Just ordered mine from Tower Hobbies ... $24.95 with free shipping, which Tower is offering through 12/31. Best deal I've found on them by far.

I see people ordering these and getting notification theirs has shipped. I pre-ordered mine 18 months ago and haven't heard a thing on it. What was the point of pre-ordering?

Depends on the vendor, I guess...I preordered mine Dec 1.

Nice photos Tim.  Good coverage and I hope you had something to do with this.
Merry Christmas to you and your family!

:)

Jairus...thanks for the comments, but Dave M. and the team at Moebius and its suppliers deserve all the credit on this one; I had nothing to do with it other that to say "great choice" when I heard it was in development.  Best Regards and Merry Christmas to you and yours as well.  TIM .

I see nothing here has changed.

Making the above comment must mean your a person coming back under a different name? And it worries me by that comment, your coming back looking for the negative. I hope I'm wrong on both counts, and misunderstood your above quote.

My Model Roundup order just arrived.  The '61 Pontiacs look great at first glance...going to sit down later and go through the instructions and trees...lots of parts tightly packed in the box.

I have been a lurker, decided not to join, then changed my mind. First posts I see, whining and attitude

I try to ignore the whining and bad attitudes. And enjoy the great wealth of knowledge and interesting people that can be found here. Like any simular thing on the web, your find the ugly trolls. And if you look for them, they'll be there for sure. But, I try not to encourage it as much as possible. They are a lot of great people and information here if you look for it. This place is only as good as you or I make it. And I can't control others. So I just need to watch out for those times when I become a troll. Hopefully it doesn't happen too much. But, it does now and then happen.

Just got a nice surprise today as my kit showed up! It's just as nice as the pics I've seen here, and when I first got to see the final test shots months ago live and in person. ;)

Now to go and really "grok" the kit, and think of colors and such. When I'll get to building it?? Who knows-----I'm just glad to finally have it in my hands!

The mailman just dropped mine off in the last half an hour. A quick peek in the box looks good to me. A nice early Christmas present!

And I like the fact you need to "grok" your's Bill. Grok. A term one doesn't hear too much anymore. If ever. A term from one of my favorite books of all time. Thanks for using it.

Well said Scott.

Y'know, the more I look at this kit, the more I'm impressed by it! It's one of those kits you just keep looking at over and over. Haven't done that to any one particular model for some time now. I think I know what color I'd like to make mine when I get to building it----------I'm torn between these two though!

My Mom's 1962 Pontiac Strato Chief 2 door sedan was light turquoise. ... beautiful car.

The quote and edit functions just let me down entirely, cramming in quoted material from posters I wasn't quoting, with no way to remove them. Never mind. Very nice kit overall, kudos to Moebius. Minor flaws noted all look to be legitimate gripes to me, but not deal-breakers by any means.

Simply and politely stating (and illustrating, as in Casey's post) the truth hardly constitutes "whining and attitude".

I've had that trouble too Bill-----I just refresh the page and it goes away. This didn't happen before which means this newer layout still has some bugs to be worked out.

Bill....pretty much the same problem here....what color do I paint it?  Yours are both excellent choices.  TIM

Is that darker blue Bristol Blue?  It looks way too dark to be Richelieu Blue.   I really like that car!  I was thinking about Bamboo Cream with the gold tri color interior, but that blue one might change my mind!   If it is Bristol blue, then it was also called Midnight Blue on 1961 Chevy Impalas, and I am starting a '61 for my "Shelf of Chevy"  I might go with the Midnight Blue on the Chevy, and the Bamboo on the Ventura.

But, that blue car in the pictures above is so sweet...
