Racephoto1 Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Beautiful work and one question. The wheel spats or pants for the front tires, did you make them? I'm doing an old front engine car, and was wondering about them.
Davewilly Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 WOW John Thats some amazing work!...Well it always is...Cant wait to see some more on this one!
Nytrozilla Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 I only see one flaw Bro. That toothpick doesn't even come close to matching anything on that HEMI Beast. I'd leave it out of the final build. But Hey, it's your build, your call.
John Teresi Posted January 13, 2016 Author Posted January 13, 2016 Hello......thank you all so very much for the kind comments......I really do appreciate them..........I got the engine pretty much finished and instaled to the "Monocoque".......I also instaled the rear end.......thanks for looking.
Codi Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 That's a mighty fine swimming pool for the eyes. Everywhere I look John, you can just "drown" in the details. The ones that caught my eye THIS time, the ed pink decal on the valve covers, the drape of your ignition lines and of course, the perfection / symmetry of your bent, metal fuel lines in the manifold and injector. Great work. tim
Mooneyzs Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Holy Smokes John.... Wow that's what I am talking about. Your updates always deliver and are never a disappointment. That is some gorgeous eye candy for sure. Nice work on the engine, It is killer.
Danno Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 OMG, John! You've built some amazing and incredible miniatures, but I think this has to be the best engine/powertrain you've ever done!!!!! PURELY STUNNING!

Great work. timI second Tim's emotions and would like to point out one other really cool detail. It isn't enough for John that he make a realistic blower belt, but he ingeniously puts the splice in the SIDE of the pulley, instead of it being the first thing a judge would notice or where it would stick out like a sore thumb under a mirror.I also love the barely visible plug boots and the intake manifold pressure reliefs.
Davewilly Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Very impressive work John! Just when I think it cant get any better....you build something else....and well its even better than the last one. I hope to see this one in April at the DCS!
Magic Photos Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 John your killing me here. The detail in this build is unreal.Love the way that everything is placed together. The Model companies missed the boat on this car. Thanks so much John for showing what hard work and a will can do.
jwrass Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 John,Great Subject Matter..........This build is off the hook, you are truly a master builder........... Lil John would be proud of your efforts. The 1:1 car has much historical value in the days of run what you brung vs the spec cars of today. Although the car was never a success on the track the Monocoque design was unique and inspired by Johns love for INDY cars.I don't want to Hi-Jack your thread. Lil John was a personal friend (he built a car for me) perhaps some history on the car and Lil would be a nice touch. If you are interested in some personal antics of Lil John P.M. me, I'd be more than happy to share.Again Awesome build!Respectfully, Jimmy "RASS"

John Teresi Posted January 15, 2016 Author Posted January 15, 2016 (edited) Hello......thank you all so very much for the kind comments......I really do appreciate them.......I worked on the cock-pit......I used a "Pro Tech" 5 point seatbelt harness......I got the 'Monocoque" chassis finished......I just need to add the fuel shut off cable and steering wheel.......then I will get the body ready for paint.....thanks for looking Edited January 16, 2016 by John Teresi
Magic Photos Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 John this is just crazy, WOW It looks better than the real car. Fantastic detail.
Nytrozilla Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 To me, this is by far, the most realistic work you've done. It's hard to tell where the model ends and reality begins.
Mooneyzs Posted January 16, 2016 Posted January 16, 2016 (edited) Holy Crapola......Mom Johns showing off again.... I think I messed myself.... John...
