DeeCee Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 SWEET!! I really like what you have done so far, and a great fade paint job would really set it off.
Can-Con Posted September 27, 2016 Author Posted September 27, 2016 Did a little work on this while I'm waiting for paint to dry on the pickup I'm working on. Got the tailight surrounds roughed in.
bisc63 Posted September 30, 2016 Posted September 30, 2016 The lines on this car would respond beautifully to a Larry Watson style paint job, akin to his famous 58 T-bird. Can't wait to see what you do style-and-color-wise!.Great work so far...
Can-Con Posted October 22, 2016 Author Posted October 22, 2016 A bit of putty work. Not "done" but it's getting there.
John Goschke Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 Great idea and execution! Flows very well and looks like a natural design evolution from the '57 Chrysler.
James2 Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 I found one of these at the NNL Nationals and have begun modifying it. Your build is inspiring.
mod3l Lover Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 That is looking good, I hope you have more timesoon for this one!?! It's going to be great, I'm looking forward to it!!! David S.
Can-Con Posted October 30, 2016 Author Posted October 30, 2016 That is looking good, I hope you have more timesoon for this one!?! It's going to be great, I'm looking forward to it!!! David S.Yea, I've been working on my 1/1 Trans Am, getting it ready to take to my uncle's garage for bodywork and paint over the winter. Got it there yesterday so I'll be spending more time at the work table now.
Can-Con Posted December 23, 2016 Author Posted December 23, 2016 Well, almost 12 months later and I'm back on this one after finishing my '78 Chevy pickup. Cleaned up most of the bodywork over the last week and just primed it with BIN. I'll wetsand it some tomorrow and spray some silver laquer on it so I can see anything that still needs a bit of work.
Mopar - D Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 Nice those tail fins make it look more like a 61
James2 Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 Nicely done. It will really pop with clean and BMF.
misterNNL Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 Loving your Watsonesque Paint theme. It really make the styling lines pop!
John Goschke Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 Beautiful fades! Don't know what you've got planned for wheels and tires but some 2 1/4" wws and Chrysler wire wheels ('55-'56 300) would be just about perfect! Maybe narrow WWs like Cliff Inman had on his '57?
Can-Con Posted January 28, 2018 Author Posted January 28, 2018 Did a bit more on this one. Was thinking I wanted to add some more color but decided against it and just foiled it and added the glass.
bobthehobbyguy Posted January 28, 2018 Posted January 28, 2018 Nicely done. Great paint. Good call on not adding more on paint. Beautifully customized.
