Art Laski Posted April 4, 2016 Author Posted April 4, 2016 Chris, looking forward to seeing what you've got done to date. I know it's going to be stunning. Danno, how did you miss this! You should have me on alert .
Art Laski Posted April 4, 2016 Author Posted April 4, 2016 Moving along, trying to make it to Arizona! The wheels consisted of two halves that weren't very true and a little too large to get the tire over them. So I epoxied them together and trued them up a little. I also cut the inside a little too so that the wheel covers would rest against the wheel properly. Here is a wheel uncut: I got some resin decal rivets from Micromark for this build. First time I've used them and they didn't turn out too bad. http://images16.fotki.com/v3/photos/9/1464279/13921451/27481446207472-vi.jpg Then I got some color on this baby! The paint was a custom mix from Scalefinishes.com with Omni clear. It hasn't been cleaned up yet, and may get a second clear coat. Thanks for looking!
John Teresi Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 Art......love to watch your work.......you work so clean and your work on the little details is just AWESOME man......paint work is killer man

bobthehobbyguy Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 Nice work. As far as estimating time you take your estimate say five minutes and then go to the next unit, so a five minute project will take 5 hours,

Again, missing my estimates .But it wasn't worth making mistakes or compromises. Hopefully, I can wrap it up for the So Cal NNL on 5/1. Danno, thanks for the hospitality yesterday. Mooneyzs Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Art... I Know the pain of not making the deadline bit it's way better than rushing and messing things up like I have done. This thing was a beauty and totally cool how you had it displayed. Can't wait to see when you get 'er done. Keep up the great work.
