bbowser Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 That's just about perfect. My favorite generation of Corvette. X2! Outstanding work.
slammedi'am Posted March 8, 2016 Author Posted March 8, 2016 Thanks everyone!!!!!!Im deff happy with it! As far as the headers/side pipes, those are scratch built..I used solder for the headers and aluminum tubing for the pipe...Took me a few tries before I finally got the pipes the way I wanted them
redneckrigger Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 VERY nice paint work and details..........it DOES look like a 1:1 car!
Belugawrx Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 Ok,.. now that,.. is a nice looking vette Excellent everything Man !! Tell us about the paint process after the side pipe story K? Cheers
1972coronet Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 Spectacular 'Vette , Shane ! I love the contrast of dark-coloured-wheel centres and the pop of the body colour !
Dragline Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 As much as I dislike Disco era Vette's and Vette's in general you have won me over with this friggin thing. Color, stance and execution are all waaaay off the charts. Totally stunning.
slammedi'am Posted March 9, 2016 Author Posted March 9, 2016 Thanks everyone! On the paint all I did was primer and then a white base...Shot the PPG color over it and finished it with the 2 part clear from PPG also..Then just wet sanded and polished
High octane Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 That 'Vette is a beauty, and great color choice as well. Color reminds me of the new Tamiya Metallic Orange.
Ulbo Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 Fantastic built and great paint job. Also engine bay details are great
ChrisR Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 Great paint work. Not mad about the wheels but one awesome model.

Plastheniker Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 Perfect, particularly the paintwork! If you should ever break your shaving mirror ...
Nacho Z Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 Daaaannnggg! Gorgeous! I showed one picture to someone who did not know this was a model car forum. They thought it was a real Vette. Beautiful model and fantastic photography!
