花火 Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 (edited) kind of problem then I have to wait for sometimes for my R89c. so I start this project. Spirit of America, number 8, raced in Le mans 24hours 1986. came to 3rd place. I love Porsche 956, and when I saw this number8 at the first eyesight I knew I have to make one. OK. I plan to make this buy a Tamiya Porsche 956 with studio 27 decal sheet. now I sanded the body and gave it a grey primer and painted with white. I like to put white on grey primer... I think it makes the whit looks cooler. the engine painted into gold, red and sliver. like the real one. well, that all for now. will be finished into one week. Edited March 13, 2016 by 花火
CFMgarage Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 Nice job so far! That engine looks like you could do a ton of nerve-wrecking awesome scratch building if you wanted
Belugawrx Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 (edited) If anyone can lay those decals out, it's you Firecracker Happy modelling,.. I will watch this one.. 花火 Posted March 9, 2016 Author Posted March 9, 2016 thank you guys. now updating some wheels. I use a tool by WAVE with these wheels called electroplating powder. Painted with glossy black and use this powder. I am satisfied with the results. put those wheels on a 956 I have already done before. what you guys think? I think they're pretty good.

Maybe the whole crews are Americans so the car were named as 'spirit of America'.
花火 Posted March 11, 2016 Author Posted March 11, 2016 decals done. took me a while but finally... the decal was printed by studio27 itself, not catography or something, so it simply just like Tamiya self-made decals, easy to be broken...
CometMan Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 Those decals were really a daunting task, but you nailed them! Great job!!
Lunajammer Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 You are a master. I see many problem areas that you solved perfectly. Excellent.
mr moto Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 Very impressive! That was obviously a challenging decal project and you did a great job.
