RandyB. Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 My latest restoration project. MPC 1979 Camaro Z/28. Dug out another glue bomb built 37 years ago and decided it was worth a shot at a restoration. Painted in Tamiya White with a set of Revell decals I had leftover from a previous Camaro build. I didn't have a set of colour-keyed stock wheels so I went with a set of Cragars.
Jeepxj Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 When I was a kid,I had a neighbor who owned this exact car.Everything, right down to the older style wheels.I was too young to know what mods he did to the engine, but he definitely had a few goodies under the hood.I used to beg him for rides. That car was fast...
Intmd8r Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 Very well done! Personally, I wasn't all that impressed with the detail or fit & finish of the MPC kit, but yours looks real good.
kelson Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 Even though performance on these cars was weak, the styling was still very sharp.
mikemodeler Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 That is very nice, usually don't see too many models painted white but yours looks spot on like the brochure!
Danno Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 Beautiful, Randy! Beautiful. And, your black one is just like my 1:1 was. It is superb.
