I had to run to Lowes today and stopped in at the Alexis and Lewis store in Toledo.  Sure enough, I left my coupon at home, and they had the Rat Fink Semi's there.  I was not going to drive home for the 2 kits.

Just found out we're getting an Ollies in Moline Illinois, opening next week. I'll finally get to partake in these deep discounts you guys have been getting because prior to this the closest was in the Chicago suburbs, three hours away. Hoping I'll be lucky enough to find one of those Rat Fink semis and trailers when they open, but doubt it.

Checked the Ollie's near this job again. They had less than before, and before they didn't have anything I wanted.

This might help answer a few questions from earlier in the thread. Noticed the shipping label on one of the Round 2 boxes I snagged(they didn't have any buggies so I grabbed an AMT box-LOL).

Looks like this shipment came directly from Round 2, not Walmart or a wholesaler. 108 cases of kits in that shipment alone. 

Thought y'all might find it interesting.

This week I stopped into an Ollies by my house. The Alexis and Lewis store location and the had 3 cases of the Rat Fink Trucks along with several boxes of trailers. First, I had seen any at that location when I stopped in.  My guess is that any others they had before were already snapped up by other shoppers or that store never had them. The Monroe MI Store had a case of the Mail trucks at least as when I stopped in there last night there were still 2 left. So, I now have myself and Slusher covered for those.  Again, that is the first I had seen those there. The Adrain Mi store had both before but I was told that one person cleaned them out. Not sure what they have now.

Don't count on it, The one here in Rockford does not get much in when it comes to models.

Black Beauty Green Hoent (at first I thought someone had screwed up....but it was the 1/32 kit)

Store worker commented that they had TONS of toys to unbox and there may be kits in that. They had a new table set up for kit....it was only 1/3 full today. I will check Monday.

Mine had the same old stuff and it's not moving well. That might be in consideration when they send certain things to certain stores. They want stuff to move and if it isn't in one store. They might send it to one that it does move in. Our store is maybe 2 years old but you hardly ever see anyone it it,

It’s great to see that every other month or so they’re getting different stuff.  Kinda spoiling us right now.

What does it take Ollie's to sell discount models.

First there are 490 stores, so if each store gets 2 cases of let's say the Rat Fink 4040 that's 11,760 units. Let's say they get them at 20 cents on the dollar: that's $ 64.99 retail price so 12.98 each. so the cost is $152,644.80 cost, being sold at 19.99 equals $234,964.80 so a profit of $82,320

This is all conjecture on my part but interesting use of my calculator.

Good kits. The international is off the new tooling. They sell for $60+ , but I’m guessing you don’t like trucks, and trailers?

I do, but im mainly into Red Oval brand stuff... and neither of those kits really fancy me much....

Besides its not really "New Tool", Its actually a New Tool MADE using an Original kit as a guide via Mr. Red Oval himself

Merritt Island, FL Ollie's did a restock. I grabbed a few of the Nova Wagons and a '72 Chev pickup.

My Southside Parkersburg WV Ollie's had a nice Coke collection to choose from... I picked up the General and a trailer and 2 of the Chevy pickups

The store near Hiawassee and Colonial (Orlando Fl) had the Rat Fink trucks and trailers, the mail trucks and a couple D50s today. 

It would be great if they kept getting restocks for a while of the kits they do get so the resellers wouldn't have as much of a market.
