RancheroSteve Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 (edited) A relatively quick one for me (only about seven months, but then I've usually got about four or five builds going at once). It's kind of a departure from my usual builds, so at times I felt like I was in unfamiliar territory design-wise, but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Thanks for looking - questions, comments, criticisms welcome. Edited May 20, 2016 by RancheroSteve 3
Harry P. Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 Is the body supposed to be semi-gloss? Just wondering, because it looks like it's not shiny, but it's not flat like that "suede" style, either.
Earl Marischal Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 Nice work. Not familiar with the prototype but the front end strongly reminded me of this --> https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=ford+zodiac+mkiii&biw=1256&bih=583&tbm=isch&imgil=gkNh9X6q3sRC2M%3A%3BERRSafrh-8RDWM%3Bhttps%253A%252F%252Fen.wikipedia.org%252Fwiki%252FFord_Zephyr&source=iu&pf=m&fir=gkNh9X6q3sRC2M%3A%2CERRSafrh-8RDWM%2C_&usg=__NoG76USMpi8taMZo3vv0Uh6spq0%3D&ved=0ahUKEwj8_5itqenMAhXDAsAKHUYsCooQyjcINQ&ei=ylw_V_zyM8OFgAbG2KjQCA#imgrc=gkNh9X6q3sRC2M%3Asteve
RancheroSteve Posted May 20, 2016 Author Posted May 20, 2016 Yes, it's Mr. Surfacer primer with a light coat of wax. I was going for that DP90 look.
StevenGuthmiller Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 I think it looks great & I'm not a custom kind of guy! I am however, an ugly early '60s Mopar kind of guy!! I just love these '61 Mopars in all of their homely glory! Steve
Harry P. Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 I just love these '61 Mopars in all of their homely glory!Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I think that's a very cool looking car. The 1960, not so much, but to my eye the '61 was a huge improvement. And a cool-looking design, IMO.
Drake69 Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 I love it in that wicked, evil, "The Car" kind of way. Sinister!

Sixties Sam Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 Very nice Dodge! The colors look good, and the cow theme interior is just cool! Good work!Sam
Harry Joy Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 Those wheels really work on this car.Agreed, and customs rarely catch my eye. This one works all around!
StevenGuthmiller Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 Agreed, and customs rarely catch my eye. This one works all around!I agree! This is the way a custom should be done in my opinion.Minimal changes to the original look of the car. Steve

I've never gotten a really good close up look at it, but I've seen it cruising around town a few times. It looks to be a real beauty! I'll bet he's the only one on his block to have one! Steve

Mercelo Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 That's very cool, l like the satin black look, and the low stance gives it great attitude. Well done!
peekay Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 Very nice! I specially like the detailing of the grille and the clean foil work.
Jon Cole Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 Yeah, I would be proud of that one, too! Two thumbs up.
