Mr Stock Posted July 16, 2016 Posted July 16, 2016 Finished this one last night, one of my favourite kits of all time and I've built a few over the years. This is the older promodeler release that has the incorrect seats and other faults. I built it box stock apart from adding a prewired distributor, the paint is Holts rattle can red. Had a bit of fun with the 16 year old decal sheet, they broke up quite a lot, especially the tyre whitelines . I'm happy with the way it turned out and no doubt I'll build another again in the future. Comments and critique welcome.
shoopdog Posted July 16, 2016 Posted July 16, 2016 Very, very nice. If you had trouble with the decals I could never tell. Beautiful model!
bbowser Posted July 16, 2016 Posted July 16, 2016 As nice and clean a model as I've seen, really pops in red. Well done.
'70 Grande Posted July 16, 2016 Posted July 16, 2016 One of the best-looking builds that I have ever seen of this kit, and I've seen plenty of good builds of it!
Modlbldr Posted July 16, 2016 Posted July 16, 2016 That turned out to be a stunner! I have the newer release to build and would love to get a couple more. Yours looks fantastic in red.Later-
Curt Posted July 17, 2016 Posted July 17, 2016 Nice work, Gary! Your clean building style and attention to detail stand out.
Drake69 Posted July 17, 2016 Posted July 17, 2016 I really need to learn plug wiring skills. It makes the engine bay look so much better.Excellent!
Harry P. Posted July 18, 2016 Posted July 18, 2016 In general, very nicely done. But you ran the side stripes right over the door panel lines. Obviously this wouldn't be the case in real life. You should have cut the stripes where they cross the door panel lines and used decal setting solution to get the cut ends to snuggle down into those panel lines. It's not too late to still do that.

Well spotted Harry, I'll correct that.
