Snake45 Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 Wow! That's one of the best builds of this wretched old backbirth of a kit I've ever seen. You got the front to fit so well I was sure you'd glued it solid until I saw it flipped. Amazing! Well done and model on!
TooOld Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 Agreed , you've done a great job ! Great paint too !
mhadman Posted January 3, 2017 Author Posted January 3, 2017 Thanks guys! I had low hours on this build, bit it was my only finished model in years. I am making 2017 the year I finish off most of my stalled projects.
Buffs Fan Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 Great job! I have had so many of these kits over the years and cant not scoop one up when I see it
espo Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 Great looking build. I'm with Snake, this is not one of Revell's better kits.
mhadman Posted January 3, 2017 Author Posted January 3, 2017 I picked up a couple of the red versions years ago, and the black one earlier this year. I am building a twin to the one above, and am spending more time on it. Plan on detailing the engine more, and tidy up the paint..Have loved this kit since I was a kid in the seventies..
DumpyDan Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 That looks crazy cool, you made this kit look really nice...........Well done!
Geno Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 Way cool Mark. I too love this kit and built it box stock as a kid. I'm working on one as well. I'm posting pics in the On the workbench forum.
Daddyfink Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 Wow, I have been thinking of getting one and this convinced me to do it! Great build of a vintage kit!!
Sledsel Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 I picked up a couple of the red versions years ago, and the black one earlier this year. I am building a twin to the one above, and am spending more time on it. Plan on detailing the engine more, and tidy up the paint..Have loved this kit since I was a kid in the seventies.. I built one a few years back, cool old kit. Will get another someday since it was destroyed in a move. If I could make a suggestion, on the future one(s) try trimming out the panels between the bars around the engine. Makes a world of difference
Dodge Driver Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 This is so cool! I'm sure it's twin will be off the charts!
High octane Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 Great job on that Chevelle build Mark. I had one built a long time ago but probably sold it when I got out of the hobby for awhile. I'd like to build another one, however I already have lots of stuff to build.
