modelcarcrazy Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 Here is my newest build, it's an AMT 1969 Corvair. The Corvair has a special place in my heart, because my mother drove one during the mid to late '60s. Hers was a '65, Orchid with a black interior and a Corsa engine with a 4 speed. I remember as a boy of 5-6 years old, my mother driving it, shifting gears wearing high heels and her hair-do rubbing the head liner. Those are some great memories. Well anyway, here is my version of the AMT '69 Covair.
NY Modeler Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 Beautiful build and a great memory. Thanks for sharing both.

espo Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 Beautiful looking Corvair, you just don't get to see these very often. I like the stance and the 4 carb. engine.

bbowser Posted January 28, 2017 Posted January 28, 2017 Well done, great color. My first car was a maroon '65 Monza with a black interior, so they hold a special place for me as well.

Mahogany Rush Posted January 29, 2017 Posted January 29, 2017 Well done, great color. My first car was a maroon '65 Monza with a black interior, so they hold a special place for me as well.We had one just like yours too with a 180hp turbo on top.Nice build. I love that body style. A friend had a mid-engine aluminum block Buick 400 in his and it would scare the bejesus out of us.
