Beautiful RRR, smooth certainly describes it. Impeccable workmanship, and yes, we need more rods! That step-chop method works great. You guys really should follow the link to watch the build-up on this one.

Great to see you and Kit posting here again. :D

Very smoooth Rodney! Colours are a great match. Are the hood sides aftermarket or did you modify them, and are those the 36 headlight?

I agree, More Hot Rods!

Of course, this model isn't news to me but man is it BAD! Perfect stance and proportions.

Do threads for the grungy track nose 3-Window and the maroon Vicky...

Hood sides are made from stretching the smooth sided Revell '32s and adding blisters that are from the floor pan (in some versions of the?) Revell Orange Crate '32 sedan kit. And, yes '36 headlights, from the AMT kit. -RRR

Fine looking little car. I noticed the hood blisters first thing, as well as the thinned flanges on the rear axle bells. Good stuff.

Sections of model aircraft bombs and drop-tanks can make very good blisters as well.

Perfect build. The way you chopped the top it looks like it was cast that way. The side blisters for engine clearance look perfect. I enjoyed looking at your build pictures, shows what all it took to put this together.

Several years ago we lost a great caster and modeling friend, Ronnie Royston R.I.P, Brother.  RRR and I had commissioned Ronnie with a few of our favorite parts, pieces and rims that we like to use in and on a few of our builds.  Ronnie bartered with us and in return wanted a nicely chopped 3hree Window Coupe body.  Ronnie passed suddenly and we were not able to complete our exchange.

RRR and I Built the Double Nickel Deuce Coupe as a tribute to our good friend Ronnie Royston.

Wow, you guys build some excellent Hot Rods! This is another very well done Coupe, excellent paint job (And a great color choice!) and a perfect stance too. Those bulges on hood sides were one of the first things I noticed, they're cool and they hint that there might not be that stock Flathead under the hood either... Nice build!
