Love it. My stash stops at 62 I think. I might have to rethink maybe grabbing some newer model years

My stash stopped at '62 too Bill........for a while! :D

Now it stops at around 1970.

Absolutely gorgeous as usual Steve! And now you've got me looking at a derelict '64 Bonneville that I've had lying around for years, but never did anything with it. ;)

Good luck on the move! I have to admit that's one of my top pet peeves----------having to relocate anywhere! Not one of my most favorite things in life for many reasons.

Thanks Bill!

I get heart palpitations whenever I think of moving all of the junk from one house to the next!!

I hate moving more than a proctology exam!

That's one of the reasons why this will only be my second move in over 25 years.

I have a couple of '64s waiting in the wings as well, but the '64 Poncho I'm really looking forward to is a '64 Grand Prix!

Overall sharp work, paint job, details, pictures. First time i see good looking painted wires. Usually i cut molded wires off because painting is painfull.

Thank you!

Not wire wheels though.

These are the factory "8 Lug" cast wheels which were prevalent on the big Pontiacs throughout the '60s.

That is so beautiful, Steve!  So perfect. I love the blackwash you used on the grills and moldings to make the detail pop – looks very crisp!

Oh, and good luck with the move!

Thanks John!

I toyed with doing the background on the finned quarter panel & trunk trim in black, but I decided it would look a little less "stark" in a dark pewter gray.

I used the same color for the background of the wheels.

I used a gold Sharpie for the "BONNEVILLE" scripts all around.

Nicely done Steve, I was wondering when you were going to build yours after my '63 convertible......worth the wait and well done mate!

Good luck with the changes in circumstances, something I'm going through at the moment, hence no ''under glass'' from me for the last 6 months!

Cheers

Ray

Thanks Ray!

I went back to look at your '63 again to refresh my memory.

Very nice!

After my original attempt to paint it turquoise, I seriously considered white for mine as well.

But I decided that black with a blue interior would be a little bit more unusual combination.

Another spectacular build. I love everything about it. Looking forward to seeing it first-hand.

On behalf of the modeling Fargoans, welcome home! Feel welcome to contact me about anything that might help you settle in, set up or just need to be pointed in a direction toward resources.

Thanks Mike!

That means a lot to me.

It will be nice to possibly have some contact with some local hobbyists.

I don't know a single soul in Rochester that builds & I've lived here for 30 years!

Of course, that may be more my fault than theirs.

Steve, you need to stop posting pictures of real cars! Lol!  Seriously though, this is just outstanding.  I always look forward to seeing your builds, and will miss seeing them until you've gotten situated at your new homestead.  Best of luck with the move!

Another magnificent job! Gives us all something to shoot for.

Good luck with the move - how do you intend to pack up the finished models?

I think he meant underhood wiring - and I second what he said.

Thanks everybody!

how do you intend to pack up the finished models?

That's going to be the 10,000 dollar question!

All of my "vintage" kits are in plastic display cases, so at this point I'm thinking that I may remove the hoods, wrap them & box them up & then I may drill some holes in the display bases & wire the models to them for transport.

I've already decided that they will make the trip in my car, whether it's in the back seat or the trunk.

They will probably ride better on the flat surface of the trunk floor.

I think he meant underhood wiring - and I second what he said.

Oh, that makes sense.

My hands are still steady enough & my eyes good enough at this point to make it work, so for the foreseeable future, I'll continue to do them that way.

Use the display cases upside down,,,they'll  stack quite nicely. Wrap the car in toilet paper best you can then put the base back on ( now top )  and stack the next one on top and so on and so on .

Be careful  putting them in the trunk ( heat kills )

None of mine are in those plastic display cases. So I just bought 100 cardboard 3x4x10 tuck boxes for when we make the move to AZ.  And mine will be inside the car ( or truck ) in the A/C

After I got them , I realized I think I may need at least another 50 to pack everything up

Just an outstanding build.  Naturally, I love the SHINY :D:D:D.

Best of luck on the move and your wifes new job.

when we moved to FL from IL, I wrapped my builds with the small bubble wrap and loaded 15 or so into china packing boxes.  Had absolutely no issues when I unpacked everything.

I wish it was Gene!

I'd be out cruising right now instead of typing with one finger! :D
