Tommy Isbister Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 She's about to get a heart transplant. Check out the engine. A little cross breeding going on here. Guess she ain't gonna be no thourobred.
Snake45 Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 There might be something wrong with me, but I like this!
espo Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 Great looking "Barn Find" . Perfectly aged look. Engine ? That is sacrilege, everyone knows it goes the other way around, Chevy into Ford. You get extra points for poking at tradition.
Jantrix Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 Looking good. Gonna get some Bare Metal Foil on the chromey bits?
Geno Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 (edited) That is going to be way cool, I always liked this kit. I need to get another one to build. This was the last version I've done. I'm diggin' what you done with it. This kit provides so many options. Edited April 20, 2017 by Geno
Lordmodelbuilder Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 I do like what you have done here. Well, maybe not the FoMoCo into a Chevy, lol. Anyways, great job!I have always loved that kit since I built the Quicksilver version in 1973. Still have it too.
disabled modeler Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 I built the Quick Silver kit as a kid too...loved it and the Tom Daniels series kits..still do. Nice work on both..!
DumpyDan Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Looks great, really like what you have done I always thought the engine was to small for the car. But this looks awesome, thanks for showing
Geno Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Looks great, really like what you have done I always thought the engine was to small for the car. But this looks awesome, thanks for showing Me too Dan, I used the 454 out of a scrap Monogram '70 Chevelle I had laying around, it looks way better and fit great.
chepp Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 That weathering looks fantastic. It reminds me of an old joke:"Yeah, I have a two-tone car. ...it's green and rust."
vintagercr Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Very cool! I always liked this kit but didn't understand why the motor is small.
