I just posted something and wanted to correct/add somethgin to the post but the "edit" link is gone.  We can't edit our posts anymore? :(

EDIT: Yes, it works again!

There has been a few instances where folks were posting inflammatory content and then quickly deleting it, so some functions have been disabled.

Pretty soon we won't be able to use the toilet without raising a hand first.

A really, really bad move!  I use the edit button all the time to correct spelling or sentence structure, or to add a thought I had forgotten.

If a few people are posting inflammatory content and quickly deleting it,   kick them off the board!  Don't do something that hurts everyone.

Also without a preview post button.. and not being able to edit...  no way to fix buggered up html on photos if i mess that up...which i seem to do more often than not.

Not complaining... do what you need to do to get rid of the the rif-raf... but eventually I would like to see the return of the edit button.. Thank you!

I do the same thing as you guys. I will edit post quite often and sometimes because of using 2 different photo management sites have difficulty remembering which link to use lol. So I edit a lot for spelling and other screw ups not related to any kind of language etc. Really like to see this back. And as for the inappropriate conduct I am with who ever said it. Kick them off the board and done. Easy peasy.

Agreed.

Many guys have long running WIP threads and like to edit the title of the thread to reflect their up dates. Disabling the edit function doesn't allow the OP to make those edits anymore.

Also vital and something I do as well.

It will be turned back on at some point. One of the options we use keeps resetting itself and will not keep. For the time being you will need to proofread what you type before submitting.

OK. it should be reenabled. Someone please let me know one way or the other.

I do apologize. I altered a different setting and don't understand how that one got turned off too.

I'm also very glad the edit function is back.

It is very important to my resume.

Without it, I can't continue to claim to be a Model Cars Magazine editer.
