DeeCee Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 (edited) I mated a stock 69 VW with a WRC Corolla.. Just to be different. Fenders were widened to allow for the wider wheel track, and scratch build a 4 cylinder engine, and made headers from solder. So i have a front engine, all wheel drive Beetle, but kept "sleeper spec." Edited July 8, 2017 by DeeCee
Dann Tier Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 Extremely cool!!!! -it all looks like it came from the factory like that......ALOT of well done, creative building going on there! Q:did you get that radiator piece from the Hasegawa Lancia 037 Rally car kit?
Lizz62 Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 Looks like my old bug. Mine wasn't as KOOL as yours! That is Boss
PatW Posted July 3, 2017 Posted July 3, 2017 As a Beetle owner x 5 I can see real potential in this one! Well done Dale, with no outward sign of the changes!
espo Posted July 3, 2017 Posted July 3, 2017 Well engineered chassis and drive train. Great paint and you almost don't notice the fenders. That would make a really fun 1:1.
NYLIBUD Posted July 3, 2017 Posted July 3, 2017 Nice ride.Looks perfect for cruising the beaches of SoCal.

Q:did you get that radiator piece from the Hasegawa Lancia 037 Rally car kit?Firstly, THANKS MEN.... and Dann, the radiator would be from one of the twin blown Pro street kits i reckon mate, as i have never had a Hasegawa kit.
afx Posted July 10, 2017 Posted July 10, 2017 Nice. Andretti is running the New Beetle in Rallycross, this would be a good kit bash project as well.
