Well lookidat. The '29 roadster has a blown sumpin in it. Wonder if it's the Chebby from the '30 coupe...

It's the engine and wheels out of the '30. Make it a more appealing (to some) reissue rather than just dumping the same ole same ole kit back onto the market. At least locally (and it seems like most Hobby Lobbys everywhere, eBay pricing, etc) the '29 was always available on shelves/close to regular price on eBay.

Be interesting (and consequently not surprising)) if the '30 has the Buick mill and wheels. I believe Tim pointed out in another thread this tooling is designed to be modular in that respect.

It won't get away from me again!

I may need to be careful, and not let the Baja HumBug and '53 Chevy not be passed up again too. But, the Jeep is my number 1 priority here.

I wonder how much work it would be to make the Jeep into something like a mild kustom, lowered on ol' school Astros and candy paint?

Or maybe keep the 4x4 setup and make an awd pro-touring pickup?

;)

Well I definitely want the Olds FE3-X or several. It will be one less version of the current kit for me to make as we'll as a basis for other versions. Most of which I will never get to other than adding more unbuilt kits to my stash. Also the Jeep has to be added to the get list.

I guess that depends on how bad you want it that way, and how skilled a modeler you are. I wouldn't think it would take a huge amount of work.

I want to try to convert it to the military version. Or at least something that looks sorta kinda like the military version. Those things are just hella cool!

With all of the speculation and rumors about Hobbico and Revell I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned this . Note that it's a NEW part number .

Since it's a modified reissue, it makes sense the stock number would be different than the original.  That's the same stock number shown on the flyer in the first post.
