mrmike Posted October 10, 2017 Posted October 10, 2017 This is my '62 T-Bird Roadster painted with Testors White Lightning One Coat Lacquer with a Model Master Insignia Red interior. I lowered the suspension and trimmed the whitewalls on the tires. The engine is wired.
Hmann68 Posted October 10, 2017 Posted October 10, 2017 Very nice! The tires and wheels look great and the stance of the car is spot on.
Draggon Posted October 10, 2017 Posted October 10, 2017 Nice! I'm glad you lowered it, that makes it look so much better. Usually everyone builds this with the stance as supplied by AMT which is ridiculous.
espo Posted October 10, 2017 Posted October 10, 2017 Beautiful build, I'm glad you were able to finish it.
bbowser Posted October 10, 2017 Posted October 10, 2017 Outstanding work on the foil, this 'bird is a bear for that. Great model.
Dave Darby Posted October 11, 2017 Posted October 11, 2017 Gorgeous 'Bird! I'm a big fan of the White Lightning Pearl too... I did a 56 for my wife with it.
Foxer Posted October 11, 2017 Posted October 11, 2017 That's a beautiful, clean, job, Mike! My fingers ache from that sharp edged foil

I am going to try doing foiling again on my new project, a 53 ford pick-up.
Sixties Sam Posted October 11, 2017 Posted October 11, 2017 Very nice Bird! I like the sports roadsters. Good color choices - looks sharp!Sam
mrmike Posted October 14, 2017 Author Posted October 14, 2017 Thank you everyone! I have heard and read of others having a bear of a time getting the chassis/interior into the body. I looked it over real good before inserting the chassis/interior into the body and found that if the interior is not properly installed, the body will not fit over the interior side panels. Careful assembly and a couple of business cards and everything went into each other like it should. Foiling wasn't that bad either. I spent just over an hour foiling the body and I was done! The lowered suspension is a must for this kit and it was easy to accomplish by inverting the front spindles and re-arching the rear springs.
