afx Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 Stumbling around the internet I came upon this.
Snake45 Posted November 22, 2017 Posted November 22, 2017 Looks like you could almost scratchbuild that body out of sheet styrene. Who'll take the challenge?
Ace-Garageguy Posted November 23, 2017 Posted November 23, 2017 Looks like the styling department still had some of whatever they were smoking when they came up with this...
Spex84 Posted November 23, 2017 Posted November 23, 2017 Looks like they tried to out-Deora the Deora!
blunc Posted November 25, 2017 Posted November 25, 2017 Looks like the styling department still had some of whatever they were smoking when they came up with this... why did they add the fifty foot tall woman to this layout?
gtx6970 Posted November 25, 2017 Posted November 25, 2017 Stumbling around the internet I came upon this. I kinda like it. ....well all but that straight on side profile shot .
Mark Posted November 25, 2017 Posted November 25, 2017 I didn't spot it right away, but there are two versions...one with the slight roof extension and added side window. Ford was on to that extended-cab deal with this one. The side profile looks like a combination of '63 Pontiac (front) and '63 Buick (quarter panels) though, and that recessed center section makes the front clip look like a night stand...
Lunajammer Posted December 1, 2017 Posted December 1, 2017 I think that was a design inspired by futurist Syd Mead, or at least he had a hand in presenting the design.

Wow. NO question about a heavy influence there. I'd really like the Mead version if the nose wasn't quite so pointy, but the Ford version looks like just too many people had their hands in the soup (pardon the mixed metaphor, but you know what I mean).
