i'm back at this project.  working on new side pipes  and building a right hand drive version. cobra csx 3006  .  i don't have a great  picture, maybe someone knows if  black paint on top  extends past trunk as it looks in some pictures, also  hood scoop looks extended forward and maybe longer . restored version has  6 spoke halibrands like a 289 comp car. can't tell what wheels it had when raced.   ( update  12-15-2019   can't figure out  how to edit  post title)

CSX3006 has the 289FIA-style wheels, which are available from Hist. Racing Miniatures.

Such a ambotious project you have going on, and it's looking very promising so far. Thumps up you can get every Cobra done. I will be following you project as many others do too.

Gary  ......   you are the man!   thanks for the great pictures.  I kinda figured  you would have some pics that no one else has.   what  an interesting top. in that pic you can see the roll bar has a center support . but doesn't look like it's there in my pic.  maybe added later on for a different   race  and different car number.

Gary ,  your photo's  have been  a huge help.  so cobra csx 3006  has  an extended hood scoop.  i made one and it came out alright.  but hood from  Historic  Racing Miniatures  Ferrari   250  GT  is almost dead on.  is it possible they used a ferrari hood  scoop on  csx 3006?  sorry my pic  was not a jpeg'

Good question on the hood scoop on CSX3006.  I doubt they used a hood scoop from a Ferrari but with plenty of panel beaters about my guess is they did the same as you and just made one.   The side pipes are looking really good.

thanks guys,  was going for the beat up and over heated  side pipes.  i have a ferrari  hood coming  and i hope it's  just a little bigger so i can shape it down to fit.

Oh man you are on a roll, way to go.  I just noticed your #13 CSX 3020 and remember I have a picture of it which I took at Mid Ohio in 1966 with my trusty Kodak Instamatic.

Have not forgotten, I owe you some transporter pictures.  Will try and get them out to you today.
