Thanks Horsepower. Yeah I haven't finished the BMF yet. This was just the first round last Friday night. I'll try to get the rest finished this weekend and then hit it with another light coat of clear to hold it all down.

And like everyone else I love that color, its almost a match to a factory color in '69.

It reminds me of '71-'72 War Bonnet Yellow.

Your interior looks fine. The contrasting color on the seat inserts was common on these cars depending on how much Sun they were exposed too.  I like the Carpeting you did.

Have you cleared over the paint from the chrome pens yet? I'm curious about what it does to the chrome finish, I know that Alclad and SpazStix have adverse reactions unless you use a specific clear. Next thing I want to try is using the ink/paint from a refill cartridge through an airbrush, if it stays as brilliant as the pens do I can see a ton of possibilities, especially for the aircraft guys, or doing our own bumpers.

Horsepower,

I did clear over the Molotow and it dulls it quite a bit. Fortunately I only used it on the small stuff (side markers, door handles and locks) I figured I can touch those up easily enough. I haven't heard of any clear that doesn't dull it and it is adversely affect do by touch for a long time after applied. As far as using it through an airbrush, I've seen that it works very well. There is a site on FB called Model car hobbies worldwide! where the guys build amazing lowriders. They use it through an airbrush to do the frames and suspensions. Great work there.

I'm liking that color for sure! I'm usually not a Corvette fan, but I really like what you've done here!

Thank you.

Back to work on this tonight. I had broken the windshield on it but George Bojaciuk sent me a new one along with a nearly complete kit of this! Thanks George! I still owe you more.

Anyway, I was able to sit at the bench with it tonight. I am nearly done and should be able to finish by tonight. Here is where I am at now.

Man this is lookin real nice! Makes me want to work on my 69. Although my hardtop is real rough. It needs a whole lot of love. I built a hardtop convertible with a burnt copper/red with tan and black interior. It came out pretty okay. I'm with @Snake45 on color matching I just try to get one that looks close
