I know in the front i had to cut some of the inner fender out to clear the tire to get it to sit down how i wanted it. I believe in the back, i just sat the bed on and mounted the axle as far up as i could.
cheyenne93
So here are a few of my lowered trucks. The green chevy is of my 1/1 ride. The gray one was my original idea for the 1/1. The other 2 are quick builds the black one was a glue bomb from a yard sale. I chopped the top and lowered it. The wheels are from 62 impala. The 57 was one I painted then put it away for about 5 years. Needed room in the stash so it got built in about 2 days. The truck with the yellow wheels, the cab I got in a trade with a guy on the other side of Canada. But I took the stretched cab and I widened the rear fenders added wheels I bought ay NNL East a few years ago, and did a few custom things to it. As for the Green truck I did this one myself right after finishing the other truck but wanted something different again. I call it the Ford Big Door Truck, pretty much straight out of the box except for the wheels that are from Monogram GTO I believe. Thanks for asking they are AMT 53 Ford model and since then I have built another 53 AMT, here is a picture of my latest.

The Ford Big Door Truck you say is basically OOB, you're being far too modest if you extended the cab, doors etc. I'm hoping to do something similar to your yellow wheels stretched cab model. I've ordered a couple of 53 AMT Ford pickup "parts box" bodies to modify and have even ordered a new scriber to cut out doors, roof etc. I've posted an identical model that I put lights in and have almost finished a trailer made from the same tray with lights. Thanks heaps for the info, much appreciated. Dave Do you have any more photos of either of them, I'm really interested.
