So many interesting and desirable cars and so little money. So I just build models the way I would own them. Works for me.

Realistically speaking I'd love to own a '55 Nomad in mint condition.

My ultimate dream car would be something like the 1936 Mercedes Benz 540K Special Roadster.

Either two I would love to have ...from one extreme to another.....The Camaro was at a local show last summer and I tell you if the good Lord himself asked me how I would want a Camaro, this thing would be exactly how I would want it,the one and only thing I would change on this car would be the name and address on the title!!

I think that this exact thing is why most of us build.

Yup. Dozens of way-cool possibilities.

But two rise to the top of my pile:

1. '65 or '66 Mustang fastback with '66 GT350 roof windows, side scoops and grille, and '65 GT350R front pan, in dark metallic green, on 15" American Torq-Thrusts.

2. '68 Z/28 RS in Corvette Bronze with black stripes, D80 spoiler package, '69 cowl induction hood, again on 15" American Torq-Thrusts.

In either case the powertrain would be replaced by a modern unit capable of 300 honest RWHP and 20+ MPG, and utterly reliable. I don't ask for much.

I hear ya. Foose did one similar on his show recently. But none of the scoops were functional.

If I had the loot, all of these would be in my garage. I have variations of all of these, except the Lincoln Mark III in my model collection. ether built., or on deck.

My dream car (the one I can’t afford):1968/69 Dodge Charger with a 440-6 pack, 4 speed and cragars.

My dream truck(one I could probably afford): 61-71 dodge w200 single cab, long bed, 440, 4 speed, steel wheels and rust.

Ok, it's not a long bed and it is not a W200 and it only has a 318 (that could easily be swapped) but I think this looks great.

I’ll be driving this to work today,  I’ve had several of my ‘dream cars’ over the years, but so far, this one has been the most fun ?

That is something that I would like but the only problem is it is located in the USA and I’m 17 so I can’t just go get it.

My grandpa has a D400 Canadian military truck with a 225 slant 6 and 4 speed (I learnt how to drive on that truck)  that I want to try and buy of him and do a moder one ton 4x4 convention.

My own designs, that I'll get back to building within the next few months:

1) An all-composite, single passenger 100 MPG vehicle...

2) A rebody of a gen-1 Toyota MR2 (with an early '90's Taurus SHO engine & 5-speed gearbox)...

3) This in full scale:

Single passenger one is powered how ?

600cc water cooled 2-cylinder Kawasaki, mounted behind the driver and just ahead of the rear wheel.

Though I designed the exterior in about 1985 (with no particular drive-train in mind) I modified the idea in 1995 to run on CNG (as a publicity vehicle for the Natural Gas Vehicle Coalition and other proponents of CNG as a vehicle fuel).

For the sake of simplicity at this point, the first one will run on gasoline. I had just started talking to Thoikol about fabricating "conformable" high-pressure CNG tanks when I ran out of funding back in 1997.

The design was also done with the idea of re-configuring it to run battery-electric, or hybrid-electric fairly easily. Batteries in 1985 were mostly very heavy lead-acid, and not well suited to a hyper-light vehicle.

Battery technology has now advanced to the point that all-electric propulsion with reasonable range is feasible...solar recharging, of course.
