I keep my small parts in little bead separators my wife got me, bigger parts are in about a dozen Avon boxes from when she used to sell it. They're like what printer paper comes in but beefier. I also have a set of plastic drawers from Walmart with partial kits in gallon ziploc bags.

I am in the process of re-doing my work area and trying to get it better organized. I will try to upload pictures when I get it done.

To date I use model boxes, some clear totes from Big Lots that are shoe box sized, a couple of 4 drawer plastic rolling organizers that hold resin parts and kits, tires and wheels. I use a silverware drawer organizer turned sideways to store my bottled paint.

A tackle box. I'm going to post a comparison of 3 large tackle boxes that are in current production. I have 2, but need to get the third. I don't need that many. I ended up with 2 and the third will be a gift.

I have a 2-drawer filing cabinet under my workbench. It has hanging files, to organize Evergreen strip styrene.

What do I use to store stuff in?

Uuuuuh.........

I guess I'm not as organized as everyone else.

Probably why I have issues finding almost everything.

When I'm in my shop, I'm building.

I can never seem to make myself spend any time getting things together.

My model tools are all in this cheap Chinese tool box that my father bought many years ago.  Too light for garage use, but is perfect for the model room. I roll it around when I need to work out of the drawers.

I have two of those 50 drawer parts cabinets on the shelf over my workbench. I have lots of small part types and materials in those small drawers. I saw this cabinet at Walmart for about $5

I cut my sand paper into 1"x1" squares and use this cabinet to store the different grits. I made a cardboard divider for each drawer. The bottom drawer holds Q-tips and Flexi File tapes.  It keeps it all organized and within easy reach.

My wife is in love with these Swiffer wet pads.  At least I get a model box from every box she buys.  These are perfect for holding old built ups or projects. I like that they have clear lids so I can take a peak.

This is about as organized as it gets for me.  I do have some of the roll around four/five drawer plastic drawer thingies I keep clear plastic pieces, and larger stuff in.

My "work space" is completely piled up with stuff ever since I moved it to my basement right before my son was born (January 2017). I have my main building supplies in a tackle box, paint in a Plano plastic organizer container for taking in the truck with me.

Now the one on the right. Is it a Norwich? And the pup I don't know but is cute as button. :-)

I go to Dollar Tree and buy those cheap knockoff Gladware tubs. Lots of sizes and they are airtight. If you get the right size, they are good for keeping dust off a painted body while it dries.

I use these...

Wal-Mart sells some plastic file cabinet like things with clear draws that can be added to to make them bigger.

Old model boxes...real old ones I just love to look at them and smile for awhile.

cardboard boxes.

peg board with hooks to hang stuff from.

small plastic containers...etc.

I use tupper ware containers to carry parts back and forth to the garage for painting. Pill bottles for tiny parts. I am heading to Princess Auto today to buy one of those units with all the tiny little drawers in it to store all my spare tires and whatever else. I also built this shelf to store paints and the rack to keep paint brushes, markers and hobby knives handy
