Thanks Bruce.  Jason body will be red similar to the plastic color.

  • Front struts installed with some added bolt detail.
  • Hood fit.  Added strips of .010" to either side of the hood to tighten the gaps.

Thanks Joe & Scott.

I adapted the Fujimi EM wheel hubs so I could use their Fuchs wheels.  Everything else is as it comes in the Italeri kit.

Brilliant, bud!!, I've done that a time or two myself

Thanks Alex & Dann.

Started work on the interior.  With (nearly) full glass and a black interior I don't think I will go crazy on the detail. I did that with my Escort RS1800 build and most of the work is very hard to see.

I agree with you and Alex, JC!...I use to detail EVERYTHING, but decided that you cant see it, its using supplies that could be used on another kit, and now I have MORE time to build MORE kits as well......its a win-win situation!, plus, i'm not taking anything apart just to prove that I did something...lol

You've already added some outstanding details anyway, bud!!…...I never build the same detail levels with my kits, mood, level of how much I like the car/kit, and so on, dictates how much will be added.

Finished interior other than painting the rim and anchor post for the spare.  Tool kit is from the Fujimi EM kit with thread as bungee straps.  Driver seat also comes from the EM kit, co-driver seat from a glue bomb Hasegawa rally kit.  Lug wrench is a white metal part from Racing 43.

Thanks Bruce.  Belts are made from the tissue paper that is provided in the PE belt sets.  I cut it into strips and color it with a Sharpie.

This is looking like a top notch job, JC (and it sure IS one)!

I love the idea of creating an exclusive or rare niche model based on a mass production model. I'd like to see how you do the 4 square air inlet holes on the front of the car. Have you worked that out yet?

Thanks Thomas. I did create the openings on the first body (with the fender flares).

But I don't think I'll added them on the final version as they would mostly be hidden by the auxiliary lights.
