Koellefornia Kid Posted September 12, 2018 Posted September 12, 2018 I found this kit in 2011 on ebay and got it for incredible 15 Bucks. Thought it was a nice bargain but when I opened it I was a bit disappointed: It was custom only kit with no stock parts in it. Eeven worse: literally none of the parts would fit to another. Maybe this was the worst kit I ever had. I had to use a lot of putty to mold the front and the rear roll pan to the body and to fill the huge gaps in the engine bay which is partially scratch built. Done with that, I decided to customize it a bit more. Used a ´65 El Camino custom grille at the front and scratch built custom taillights from red clear sprue. Exhaust tips were made of small diameter copper tubes, the gas cap came from a Mustang Mach III kit. I mounted 19“ Aoshima wheels to the lowered suspension and filled the engine bay with a Corvette ZR1 power plant. Zhe interior was equipped with a LeCarra steering wheel, Ford Taurus front seats and a resin amplifier and speakers. Thanks for looking, comments welcome
Bucky Posted September 12, 2018 Posted September 12, 2018 I think you've done a nice job on this one. I have one of these kits, so your heads up on the fit issues is certainly helpful!
NYLIBUD Posted September 12, 2018 Posted September 12, 2018 Interesting,I've never seen this kit before.Definitely something different.

Sixties Sam Posted September 13, 2018 Posted September 13, 2018 I've never seen a Gremlin customized like that. Very well done! Nice color combo! Sam

El Caballo Posted September 13, 2018 Posted September 13, 2018 Neat build, I like the panel paint job.
Jim N Posted September 13, 2018 Posted September 13, 2018 Great job! You stuck it out and the model looks real nice. I agree with Oliver above, I would love to get my hands on one of those Matador kits.

Bucky Posted September 13, 2018 Posted September 13, 2018 Here is the Capri kit: I don't have one of these kits. I borrowed this pic from our friend WWW!
FredRPG Posted September 24, 2018 Posted September 24, 2018 Nice job on that Gremlin. I must admit I've always liked this series even as quirky as the styling is. There's also a Mustang II in the group, probably one of the better IMSA styled cars of the era.
Dave Van Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 NICE work!!! I have a few of those in my stash.
Cardz Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 Very cool. I remember the mustang kit. Well done!
