dodgefever Posted November 28, 2018 Posted November 28, 2018 Nice job. Despite my username, I really like the '67 - '68 Firebirds and I almost bought a '67 twenty years ago. Still kick myself over that one, but it just seems like too much needed doing... This version of the kit is defintely the one to get vs. the Foose version. My only beef with it is that the engine looks much too wide. The '60s AMT and Revell Pontiacs look correct, but this one just seems 'off'.
John Jacobs Posted January 29, 2019 Author Posted January 29, 2019 I'll have to see if I can fix the steering wheel, but it may be too late at this point.
stitchdup Posted January 29, 2019 Posted January 29, 2019 Nice looking bird, if you cant fix the steering wheel you could always pose the wheels turning
Modlbldr Posted January 29, 2019 Posted January 29, 2019 This is looking beautiful! Love your color combo. I did one years ago in Root beer with the light ivory (parchment) color. Later-
John Jacobs Posted January 29, 2019 Author Posted January 29, 2019 I successfully removed the steering column and got the wheel turned right side up.
Scott8950 Posted January 29, 2019 Posted January 29, 2019 very nice build and excellent choice of colors..
tbill Posted January 30, 2019 Posted January 30, 2019 Wow, that color combo is striking, love it! Looking great!
NOBLNG Posted February 7, 2019 Posted February 7, 2019 That is really nice looking. beautiful job on the interior! Here's one I did a while back.
John Jacobs Posted February 10, 2019 Author Posted February 10, 2019 Okay, so as you can see, I fixed the steering wheel that was upside down. And almost everything is done. Will just need to let the wheel decals dry. How do you like the redline tires?
espo Posted February 11, 2019 Posted February 11, 2019 I like the final look with the body color and the HO Stripes and the Red Lines. I remember the local Pontiac dealer who stocked a lot of Firebirds and they all had the new wide tread tires and most of them were the Red Lines.
