There is more than just "American Iron!" Variety, and way more detailed kits, are the spice of life!

I like it all!

Come back an tell me of your kit collection when you have to carry a spiral bound note book to log all the various kits you have . I had this many in the 1980's . I'm planning a cross country move in 2020 and I'll wind up renting a full size Pods cubicle just to move kits .

I just made such a move. I sure don't envy you. We've been here maybe 3 or 4 weeks . And still unpacking boxes

Man. I would love to just pick one kit out of your collection......

I would buy more American muscle if the kit quality was equal to better than Tamiya. I have just really been spoiled by their kits. I often struggle with AMT models.

i do have a 68’ 1/12 Revell camero I need to build

If you see what you have as a problem, you can always give them to me then you won't have a problem :) spending 15k Australian in 2 years on ebay getting all the kits you ever wanted might be a problem if the better half finds out :(

You're right, that is a problem. I can help with that. Just feel free to box up that RX7 Convertible and the Jaguar TWR and send those my way.

I'm sure with help from the community, we can get that shelf empty for you.

:)

You have a problem when you are hiding them all over the place- friends and family houses, storage units, trunk of the car, etc.

Admitting your problem is the first step, but if you are actively building them and buying more with the intent of building them, then you have nothing to worry about.

Those of us who go to places like Ollie's and Hobby Lobby and scoop up discounted kits, we might have a problem!

I don't see it as a problem, more of an opportunity.

Thanks! Most of the stuff you see is the stuff I like to stare at! Sadly, I have more in storage

Thanks, and sorry to hear about the Tornado, that is something I just can't wrap my brain around. But then again, we have earthquakes and wildfires, and those suck as well.

The Chevette.  Real nice collection Jessee....

Thank you, Sir! Hard to believe how desirable that kit has become, given how undesirable those cars where for a while! I wonder if the tooling still exists?

If I see a good mark-down at Hobby Lobby or a fairly good selection at Ollie's I can't help myself.  I have not completed a kit in almost a year, but I know I have bought at least 10-12.  Here is a picture made 4 years ago, most are still there and many of the holes have been filled with more kits.

Who said you have a "problem"?  Think all of us have the problem of no time, and too many dreams.  I see some guys have a problem not thinking out of the box, like 'Merican hot rods are the only subject to care about.  Maybe the problem is not enough space, can understand that dilemma, this summer I moved my collection out of an attic storage, to a closet, then got a rolling store shelving unit which made it so cool.  It's extremely subjective, and opinions are like ***holes....

This is only some of my stash, I just got the shelving from a store going out of business.

What's that Mercedes kit on the shelf above the Huracan, in back?

Isn't that a C111  ?

Sharp eyes guys!  That is a collectible kit made by defunct Nakamura Model Co. Ltd. that I spent more than I should have on, but I have always wanted a C111 model.  It sucks as far as detail and accuracy goes, so my plan is to do a resto-rod.  How much more sacrilegious can it be, to butcher the car that Mercedes never sold to the public, and then take a race car that put Mercedes won Le Mans 1-2-3 with, with a collectible model and a desirable Tamiya kit?  That's my idea, just need time.
