Harpo Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 Inspired by the 1963 Mustang III Concept Car (more info in my build thread), this is a Revell 68 Mustang kit shortened eleven scale inches. Still practical for everyday use, but much lighter and faster on the corners! Aside from taking a slice out of the entire car and adding cutout pipes, this is a stock build. Finish is Createx Iridescent Turquoise/Faskolor Faspearl Green mixed 1:1, then top coated with Createx 4604 Gloss. First few gloss coats were tinted with about 5% Createx Phthalo Green, final coats were clear.
Kit Basher Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 Very nice! Great paint and you would never know all the surgery that was done.
Yahshu Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 (edited) Not sure if I like the hump in the roof but over all, very nice Edited October 18, 2018 by Yahshu
Koellefornia Kid Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 I must confess that I was a little bit skeptic about it when I saw the WIP, but I was wrong, it´s beautiful!
espo Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 I followed your build and I think that is the only way someone can appreciate what all you did with this basic kit. In addition to all the major body modifications the finish is very cleanly detailed and a beautiful paint job.
TooOld Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 Interesting idea and you executed it very well , nice work !

From most angles the hump isn't bad, really only noticeable straight from the side.
mustang1989 Posted November 6, 2018 Posted November 6, 2018 Lots of good work went into this one. Looks fantastic Garry!!
Snake45 Posted November 6, 2018 Posted November 6, 2018 It came out better looking than I expected it to. Well done and model on!
