Last video: Wow, that was totally different. No silly smoke show and useless fireballs. Just pure shaft horsepower. Awesome!

I've been going to the drag strips since the mid-60's and a LOT of people like the smoke shows and fireballs when the the jet dragsters are coming up to the starting line. It also draws people, and people mean MONEY.

For me, something that off the wall, especially with the Arfons name painted on it too, would be a draw for me. Kinda reminds me a bit of the pulling tractors Art and daughter Dusty ran back in the 80's.

I wonder if the exhaust blows back into the cockpit or over it?

I was wondering the same thing. I not so sure I'd want to drive one.

Thank you for sharing these. I may have to build one of these. I'm impressed with how stable that car is through its run. Having the exhaust directed upward like that surely helps a lot, as do the winglets on the front.

Broadway Bob, former owner of Great Lakes dragaway used to ride the nose of the jet cars when they pulled up to the line. image.png.73ac509fe67343c127c2a7090491d097.png

Yes he did as Broadway Bob was quite the "showman" and had some great events especially in the 60's getting all the "big names" to race at Great Lakes Dragaway.
