Revell kit, engine wired and plumbed. Scratch built throttle linkage, wind screen and fire bottle.  Added seat belts. Refinished in Plasticoat touch up paint. DuPont urethane clear coat.

Very nice job.  I cannot remember - does the kit come with a roll bar that goes to the floor?  I would think the Essex Wire version would have one but I checked and it does not have one.

The kit comes with the short rollbar, it looks like you can turn it 180* and extend the diagonal tube to get the long bar version. I might try that option on my next build.

The forward braced roll bar was used on the 289 chassis.  The rear braced roll bar was used on the 427.

You are correct but CSX 3004 has the long tube bar. Its the 427 version.

There are exceptions of course when we start talking about specific chassis. A few cars also had custom one-off roll bars.
