Excellent!

I would be more interested in one of these kits if it were a long box.

I've never understood the attraction to the short box look.

To my eye, it makes a truck look stubby and a little dumpy.

An 8 foot box helps to make the truck look a little more sleek and low.

In terms of this body style I completely agree with you. The box seems to end abruptly with a sharp cut. However I'll take a shorty from every other generation chevy/gmc!

Personal taste I guess.

For me, unless it's a step side or a 50s Chevy Cameo, I'll take a long box every time.

WOW - you do beautiful work. This was the first automotive model I built by myself in the very early sixties. I didn't paint it and I think I used every part in the box. At the time I did not know how good a model could be when built by a skilled modeller.

This will likely be moved soon to the truck tread which I sometimes regret not looking at often so I am glad you initially posted Model Cars Under Glass.

Hey Paul, the truck looks great. I was wondering how you did the wheels. Did you cut the centers out and put them on steel wheels, or just paint the outer part of the wheels?

I vividly remember you throwing it across the room when you found out which issue it was ....:D

I guess you changed your mind about it eh?

Came out great!

Thanks all, and yes Mike, the AMT box art showed a long bed with a side molding. What was in the box was a strippo short bed. I was slightly disappointed lol.

Yes I prefer the long box trucks as well.

The added chrome side moldings and the two tone paint look great. I picked up one of these last week and I'm still going over ideas in my head. Did you stay with the 6 cylinder ?
