It is rather surprising that they don't do a Spitfire in 1:24, neither diecast nor in kit form.

David

Pyro did a 1/25 GT6 coupe kit but it needs a lot of work especially around the front windshield and the wheels are useless.  Never noticed the driving lights under the bumper before.

Airfix do a load of spits in 1/24, and a few others. I haveone of the spits and it looks pretty nice

Do you mean the 1:24 Supermarine Spitfire aircraft ?, Lesley....... as far as I am aware, Airfix did not release a Triumph Spitfire model car in 1:24 scale..... I would like to be proved wrong, of course.

The GT6 is different in many ways, Gary...... so it is not really a coupe version of the Spitfire soft top / hard top. I agree that the driving lights under the bumper were probably not correct.

My mistake, I misread. Airtrax in finland do 6 different triumph resin kits though but apparently not the spitfire

I was just trying to be helpful and apparently missed the mark.

Sorry, Gary...... I wasn't being critical, and I hope it didn't sound like I was. I am agreeing with you that the Pyro GT6 would need a fair amount of work to convert it into a Spitfire. ( my post was about two diecast models, for the topic ' What diecast did you get today? '...... not sure how I got onto 1:24 scale plastic ? ) Oops.

Cool.  Looks like the Hasegawa I built several years ago.   Mine was a brighter blue though.  I think I sold it.  Or it may show back up...

Very cool! Last one I saw was orange with a black hood, and I decided I didn't like the black hood. I'll look for this one--if it's all one color, I might be in!

Be aware Richard that it is the Japanese version and has RHD.

I know. That doesn't bother me. The fender-mounted mirrors bother me more, but not enough to not buy it if Walmart has it for $20. Cheap, easy way to get a Z-car on the shelf.

Picked up this nice 1:43 diecast model car from Ebay, which is a 1950 Jaguar MK V by Neo in brown. The car is LHD with US registration plates I think, also white wall tyres and an open sun roof. This is a very realistic looking model, so ideal for my photography, and it is quite rare to find.

With the recent talk of Anglia's I could not resist ordering this JADA 1/24, especially since a college friend had one just like this one.  I used to stand on the rear bumper and jump up and down to get out of the snow in the parking lot.

Did you add these to the air-cooled thread also?  I think that thread is a great idea

That is a beautiful piece and really looks larger than 1/43 to me.   Super nice!

I am not a movie buff so can not confirm but can only assume the Anglia was a movie car.  JADA also has a Camaro that looks kind of interesting.  Even has stock looking wheels.

Yes,  guilty as charged.  I was a magazine contributor back in the '80s & '90s.

And yes, I will add the 911 Cabriolets to the 911 thread.  Thanks for your interest Randy.

The Camaro looks good - needs the track widened, maybe.   Something funky about it - maybe the quarters and rockers hang too low?  A JADA thing?  But a good start if you need a diecast instead of a plastic.

Thanks, Randy...... it is certainly a nice looking model motor car, and the main reason that it appears to be larger than 1:43 scale is the close-up photography, which when combined with a realistic diorama setting provides a convincing illusion of size and scale.

Having looked at this JADA 1:24 Ford Anglia sometime last week, Gary...... I very nearly ordered one!  Might have been the price that stopped me..... I seem to remember it being a bit high?
