What a shame Sam's doesn't carry 1/24s. The Lovely Mrs Snake is a "frequent flier" at Sam's and could easily buy all her gifts for me for the year there, but I refuse to get into 1/18.

Hobby Lobby had a medium blue and the neon yellow C8 in 1/24, but they did away with the 40% of coupon so at $20/each, they are still on the shelf.

But every other week or so, they have all "boxed model kits" at 40% off. Do they count this as a "boxed model kit"? Probably, but even if not, $20 isn't bad for a 1/24 scale diecast C8 Vette. I think I paid nearly that much for mine at Walmart (I got the metallic blue one).

No they aren't considered a kit so no discount.

The Motor Max are $10 @ WalMart.  I have a few of the C8's but more of the Jeep Gladiator, Dodge Rams and most of the colors of the Dodge Challenge Hellcat

I got it yesterday from post:

Lamborghini Sian FKP 37, scale 1:24 made in China by Che Zhi

The model is a toycar with pullback drive, light front and rear and motor sound with grinding brakes at the end .

But for a toycar the details are very fine and rich. Even the tyres are fitted with correct direction of rotation.

I can say negativ only that the breakediscs with caliper are rotating with the wheels together. And the mirrors are painted silver only.

Walmart had almost nothing today, but they DID have two M2 '70 Challengers--metallic blue (B5?) T/As with dog dish hubcaps. They looked really nice, but I didn't get one because I already have one 1/24 '70 Challenger (a JL in Sub Lime), a diecast 1/25 (my preferred scale) Welly Challenger R/T in the same metallic blue color, and am just about to start "rescuing" not one but two Monogram T/A Challengers. If not for those factors, one would have definitely followed me home, because they looked good.

I didn’t know the new Bronco is out. Didn’t see one when I was at Hobby Lobby.  Nice buys Rob..

I didn't realize it was out either...found it on Diecast Models Wholesale website.

My latest acquisition (from the German 1/24 Hachette Opel collection): 1965 Opel Diplomat V8 coupè (only 347 pcs. were built by Karmann between 1965 and 1967), motorized with the Chevrolet 327 V8.

Interesting! Puts me in mind of a customized '65 Chevelle.

It does kind of resemble a 64 or 65 Chevelle ,

Yes, guys - the similarity is no coincidence - Chevrolet chief stylist Clare McKichan went over to Germany in 1962 and was mainly responsible for the design of Opel in the 60's (also for the Opel GT AKA "mini-Corvette")

The Opel is a good looking model.  Sure wish we had ready access to the Hachette diecasts.

Hi Gary, Modelissimo from Germany has some of them the first 7 models as of now) - a lot cheaper than on ebay: here is the link: https://www.modelissimo.eu/ switch to English language, choose 1/24 for scale and for manufacturer:  Hachette Opel Collection.

Right - and some modeling shops offer them too for relatively moderate prices. (f. i. www.modelissimo.eu)

Stopped at the last Rite Aid in my whole area on the way home from the local toy show. The Wellys are now $12 instead of the usual $10. Oh well, it was nice while it lasted. Got the only one they had I hadn't seen before, the Mercedes AMG gullwing in a beautiful metallic brick red. While I was paying I noticed that the driver's side mirror is missing. Went back to the rack to see if it might be there, but of course no joy. Oh well, I can scratchbuild something if it bothers me enough. Still a hella cool looking car.

You are one lucky dude Snake to have both a local monthly toy show and a Right Aid.

Does your Mercedes AMG Gullwing look like this but in red?

Yes, that's it. The color's not a "red red" but a pretty "brick red" metallic, sort of in the same neighborhood as Model Master Kiln Red, if you remember that. If the mood ever strikes me to scratchbuild a mirror, I'll paint it with the Kiln Red, which I just happen to have some of on hand.

Would you believe, I went to add this one to my list last night and found out I already had one! Bought a white one last year, which, annoyingly, is also missing the left side mirror. Ah shucks oh well, I like this one better, so the white one can go on my "possible trade" pile.
